We were out-rebounded and out-coached. They went to Hack-a-Dorsey and our 9 point lead turned into a 15 point loss. McHale didn't adjust worth a damn. And, Tony Parker destroyed Jason Terry, which doesn't shock me one bit. Prigioni should be starting since Beverly is gone. Or, just move Harden to PG and put Brewer at the 2. Also, Terrence Jones doesn't look like he's healthy at all. He literally just took up space on the floor. Did absolutely nothing. The Motiejunas injury is devastating. No one knew his back injury was that serious.
I'd love to see Whiteside with 40 pounds added to his frame. I don't think it would affect his game negatively and his body can obviously distribute it.
Where my heat fans at in this thread?! Seriously, wish I was back home. Sucks being the only heat fan around
This is going to suck bad if we miss the playoffs AND not get in the Top 10 in the draft. That would be freaking brutal.
Well, that looks like the season. Too bad we'll probably end up with the 11th pick, because that's how this season has gone for us. EDIT: Also, I don't get why they're so reluctant to make Whiteside the focal point on offense at times. He ended up getting a decent amount of shots tonight in the end, but they went away from him for almost the entire 3rd quarter. They also wouldn't feed him against the Pistons when he was playing lights out and Drummond had 5 fouls. I don't get it.
McHale is an idiot. Why is Joey Dorsey on the court? You know exactly what Popovich is going to do now. Watch our 7 point lead evaporate in 1 minute because this scrub can't shoot free throws.
We'd be up 20 if we hit our damn free throws. I don't blame Popovich for intentionally fouling the hell out of Dorsey and Josh Smith. It's pathetic that you can't even make 50%. You're supposed to be a professional. And, give K. Leonard defensive player of the year. He is destroying Harden. He looks like s**t tonight...totally overmatched.
Well that was close. Too close. Rockets under-powered but fighting hard. Had Harden opted for a pull up jumper instead of taking it to Duncan we'd be taking about revenge and how the Rockets fought tooth and nail to grind one out. Can you imagine the Rockets with a point-guard? Great team win from the Spurs though, almost everyone now is clicking and contributing and finding their game. Good effort from the Rockets.
Harden had trouble getting good looks off his usual stepbacks against Leonard, he's just so long and quick, contesting everything. Offensively over their last 8 he's averaging 21/gm at 60% shooting, 47% from 3. Super efficient. He's also 23 years old. TWENTY THREE. Wtf. Isn't he a RFA this summer?
http://grantland.com/the-triangle/the-nbas-furious-17-capturing-the-noncontenders-state-of-mind/ Read the Miami Heat part.....get hard.
As an empathetic fellow dolfan, not really. Being delusional about our teams is the only real escape. I can see where he's coming from.
That's why I want the Heat to have a top 10 pick in this draft. That won't come along very often with Riles here.
I suppose I should be in pro sports anyways. Being a Mariners, Knicks, Dolphins fan hasn't been very eventful the past 15 years.
simmons loves the Lebatard show lol best radio show in Miami. I think i got a smile on my face reading the Knicks part of that article just as much as the Heat part.
2 point game with 50 seconds left.. If we lose this game its time to sit all our good players. Last thing we need is an injury that will hinder our future on this jinxed season.
Dagger to our season. Sit Wade, Goran, and Whiteside the last few games. We need to protect our core.
Oh we have actually been eliminated. Didnt know that. Oh well, i guess it doesnt need to be said then. Bench everyone that matters.
They're not actually mathematically eliminated, but they essentially are. They have so many guys playing hurt that I wonder if they will shut some of them (Wade and Deng especially) down with nothing left to play for. It's good for the Heat that the Jazz won tonight. That means it would have to take the Jazz losing out, the Heat winning out, and the Heat losing a coin flip not to finish with the 10th worst record in the NBA. With each team's respective schedule and the Heat's luck this season, that could very well happen though.
