Probably the safest pick at 14...wouldn't ***** about it one bit.

Unless it's a huge reach, you won't see me complaining about taking an offensive lineman in the first round.

    Tannehill agrees with you.

Probably the most logical pick, IMO.

    - Everyone in the AFC has good defensive lines/front 7's. Fight fire with fire and load up the offensive line.
    - Plug him into G for the time being, let him be groomed to take over for oft injured Brandon Albert.
    - If Miami adds Collins, our entire offensive line is locked up for the next handful of years. When is the last time we could say that? Since Sparano, we've been playing shuffle board with inconsistent results at best and disastrous results at worst.
    - Ryan Tannehill has been beaten during his entire career. If we're going to pay him, might as well keep him from being killed.

From what I've seen the staff may be grooming James to play LT and hoping Thomas can handle RT, with OG as a fall back position. Not sure how they feel after watching DT struggle outside last year but if Albert is healthy they can delay making a decision and I'd only like Collins at 14 if they were totally done w Thomas at OT and looking to get rid of Albert in the near future.

If the staff is grooming Jame for LT, we're in trouble. He has no business on the left side.

I don't think Thomas has any future at OT. He can develop into a serviceable OG - but that's it. J. James should stay at RT for the next few years and be a force at the position. I don't exclude the possibility that sometime he could become our LT but not in the near future.

I'm not endorsing the move just trying to explain the possible thinking behind the lineups they went with after Albert was injured. I thought James did so so at LT, struggled at times but was never wreck the gameplan bad like Thomas was vs Baltimore and Buff.

If the offense stays balanced and sticks w the quick pass game I think James can be serviceable at LT, he's not so bad that I'd want to spend a top 15 pick on a OG/backup LT.

We definitely need to get better on the OL and it's hard to trust Albert staying healthy. Having said that, I would prefer to take a playmaker with the first pick and pick up OL later in the draft. Ultimately, you have to go with BPA and if it's Collins, I wouldn't be upset.

Collins is going to be the pick, I have said this all along and I will be very happy with that selection. The main focus should be keeping Tannehill on his feet and building an elite offensive line is the way to do that. This patchwork crap just isn't working and it seems as though all those guys get hurt anyway. Pouncey is a mainstay, James is going to be an absolute stud if he stays healthy, I hope Albert can regain form, and I am praying that Billy Turner walks the walk as much as he's talked it. Add Collins and this thing can be completed project.
