2 of the first 9 games for Miami are on the road, the good news, they aren't very strong teams and Miami of late does better on the road then at home. The other side of it, we miss out on home field advantage due to the heat. This favors Philly boy in a way. What goes against him is we play very very strong teams towards the end and we all know he chokes when games matter so in a way this season is perfectly aligned for him to fail. Especially the last 2 games, when caoching comes in and you are facing the Colts and Pats for a possible playoff spot? OUCH. Not with philly boy. Do you guys think if we go into the 10th game of the year being below .500 Phil gets canned to save the season or does Miami end the season and fire him at the end of the year granted we dont make the playoffs. I think if we are at 3-6 he gets fired.
I don't see any possible way we're 3-6 after nine...5-4 at the worse, which would quite possibly mean the season's lost considering the rest of the schedule, and JP would finish his last season as Dolphins HC. I'm more of the 6-3/7-2 assumption.
Why before a season even starts. With a QB that has progressed yearly, and with a Coach that i think has progressed would we entertain these ideas? Philbin is alittle quiet but his decision making has gotten better. He has adapted yearly. Last yr it was getting to be a players coach more. Last yr defensive run game let us down and we get the best big middle man in the league. We take away two of our overrated turnstyles. We have work to do its early in the off season but the pesimistic **** is a joke. Its not just you ET7 but a few others, some of these guys or gals on this board. Ive never seen a good word out there keyboards. Its ok to have a difference of opinion its another to have a agenda! Philbin is our coach until stated otherwise. lets look forward. Its not at all a interesting way to look at the season. YOU're looking for failure before the game begins?
Negativity bias is a real and powerful thing...very hard to overcome. Same as positive bias...most people are shaded toward one or the other. I'm glad to be more of the latter.
