Honestly think we should trade him to Philly for mathis a position of need and a 2/3 rd round pick and we give up a mid / late rounder. Mathis is on the down side of his career Dion is just starting.
Fair deal for Philly and he can get a chance to shine, and hes out of our division so we wouldn't need to deal with him very often.

We could potentially fill two holes with his trade and he has no position on this team currently.

If he actually plays anywhere, it will be more than what he has done with the Dolphins. Except for maybe a half dozen plays in his first two seasons, he has been pretty much a bust so far.

Because of his lack of production on the field and his failed drug test, the Dolphins will be lucky to get a 5th round draft for him if they trade him.

My hunch tells me that the Dolphins were probably on the phone months ago trying to trade Dion Jordan.

We all suspect (for good reason) that Ireland more than anyone else was behind the selection of DJ. He doesn't fit Coyle's 4-3 scheme. Even if he did, there's not much room on the roster. Philbin obviously supports Kevin Coyle as a coach and isn't blind when it comes to seeing that Jordan (A) doesn't fit and (B) isn't doing all he can. Finally, all indications have been that Dennis Hickey aims to deliver what the coaches want.

I don't think Dion Jordan is a bad dude and I hesitate to call a guy a bust when he's been forced into a back-up role by Wake and Vernon playing so well.

If DJ went to a 3-4 team that had an open spot at OLB, I suspect DJ would at least live up to being an average NFL player. A guy with his physical abilities doesn't remain a back-up when there's a clear doorway in front of him.

The problem with DJ--I think--is that he recognizes there's no room (or want) for him in Miami and he's probably mailing it in at this point hoping for a change of scenery and an opportunity to compete on a team that needs what he can provide.

The problem is that I don't think we could even get a deal like that. At this point hes probably worth maybe a 4th rounder to someone, maybe.

Yep... I think the most we can get is a late sixth round pick.. Might as well keep him... Though the Dolphins might want to shed his salary..

Getting real tired of players getting what they want around here. It seems like all they have to do is whine or do something that's not within the dolphins guidelines and we trade them away for peanuts. He will be the next guy we trade away for a 5th or 6th round pick. just amazes me.

Agreed, I think he is being councelled to do everything within his power to get out of Miami.

Frustrating for us... But Coyle and Philbin (and drugs too) have really hindered his career. Lack of snaps and lack of a defined position/role have hurt his development.

The sooner he's gone, the sooner we can move on from the one of the last and biggest reminders of Ireland's boobery.

Listen I'm with you on Ireland. He wasn't fit to be a top notch GM, but he wasn't the only guy that thought Dion Jordan would be a stud player. Many Gms thought so along with draft analysts. once he's traded and utilized correctly he will probably be so just like Vontae davis.

I agree draft day trade. Probably day 2 possibly 3. Someone will get a steal. While we draft someone that won't be around 2 years from now. Smh.

Eddie Moore was a 2nd round pick. Dion Jordan was the number 2 pick in the entire draft. It's not even close man.
