Yes, this our chance to be unrealistic and fantasize (like you haven't already been doing that) about the draft you WISH the Miami Dolphins would have this year!

I'll share mine, then you share your totally unrealistic pipe-dream draft that makes you grin for ear-to-ear....

Remember... it does not have to be (in fact it shouldn't be) realistic!

    Round One

Amari Cooper falls to the fifth pick. We trade our #14, next year's 2nd, a suspended Dion Jordan and a coupon for carpet cleaning to Washington for the #5 pick and take Cooper.

    Round Two

We trade #47 and our 4th for #56 and a 3rd round pick.

At #56 we select Ereck Flowers, OL. What a bargain!

    Round Three

Tevin Coleman, RB (yes, in my dream everyone is selected a round later than they will really go)

We then trade our fourth rounder and both fifth rounders for another third round pick and select Eric Kendricks LB who has fallen due to size, and injury questions.

    Round Six

    D'Joun Smith CB

If we came out of the draft with a Pro Bowl type WR, high-ceiling Offensive Lineman we could play at Guard but who has the athelticisim and frame to replace Albert at LT long-term, Gale-Sayers-like back in Tevin Coleman, a starting, big play, undersized MLB like Kendricks, and a CB like SMith who coul compete with Taylor to start outside... I'd be elated.

I mean, a true dream would simply be us getting all top 15 picks, but hey... I like to be reasonable :)

    What's your dream draft?

I'm gonna stay put in my draft, although I could almost guarantee Tanneballs doesn't:

    1) Todd Gurley

    2) Denzel Perryman

    4) Bryce Petty

    5) Tyler Lockett

    5) Derrick Lott

    6) Mark Glowinski

    1) Todd Gurley
    2) Brandon Shariff

(afterwards, best available all the way)

if we can secure the first two, the draft will have been a success

My God, I would say it would be a success if we walked away with two top 20 talents!

    1) RB - Todd Gurley
We get our playmaking, hard-hitting, game-changing RB in the first round.

    2) WR- Dorial Green-Beckham
(trade down to end of 2nd and pick up a 3rd rounder) A big target for Tannehill in the endzone, and a potential future number 1 WR.

    3) OT/G - Ali Marpet
Still need to shore up our OL and Marpet at LG will give us a tremendous line.

    4) CB - Ifo Ekpre-Olomu
Comes with injury concerns but is a pretty good player and great scheme fit, as mentioned by a few more knowledgeable Dolphin fans. Compares to Brent Grimes, so who else to learn from than Grimes himself?

Rounds 5-7: If we get the above players, I woudn't really mind what we do the rest of the draft, I'd consider it a success already.

This is a pretty risky draft, picking up two injury-riddled players and one with off-field concerns, which is why I think it's a little unrealistic, especially for the Dolphins.

    1)- Gurley
    2)- Peters.

If they could get Gurley and Peters, I would considered it the best draft in decades. As far as their picks from the fourth round on is concerned . I'll leave that up to Hickey and Tannebaum.

Allow me to be the voice of reason. THIS is how Miami's draft will really play out. ;)

14 (1): Todd Gurley, HB, Georgia
Gurley is a generational, transcendent talent. It isn't a matter of whether or not Miami will select him at No. 14, but a matter of whether or not he will still be on the board.

    47 (2): T.J. Clemmings, OT, Pittsburg
Outside of Jason Fox, Miami has no reliable backup tackles. This must change, should Branden Albert suffer another setback. To compound the situation, Albert is 30 years old, and statistics show that most offensive linemen embark on a tragic decline at or around the age of 30. Miami must have a plan in place, and Clemmings provides tremendous upside, especially when compared to your next best option... Dallas Thomas.

111 (4): Tyeler Davison, DT, Fresno State
Miami's front office has taken a liking to Davison, whom they held a private pre-draft meeting with. There is no question, the second DT job is Earl Mitchell's to lose - but Davison provides absolutely essential depth with the oft-unpredictable Ndamukong Suh on the roster. Davison specializes in versatility in a Jared Odrick-esque mold, and he possesses the potential to someday develop into a long-term starter.

141 (5): Vince Mayle, WR, Washington State
Mayle, a dominant redshirt senior, will face a difficult transition into the NFL regarding opposing talent. However, his playing time at Washington State helped to familiarize him with professional style offenses. This will go a long way in training camp, and it gives the former team captain a chance to unseat LaRon Byrd, Michael Preston, or Matt Hazel as a potential member of the 53-man roster.

    142 (5): Lynden Trail, DL/LB, Norfolk State
Trail is the draft's biggest mystery. While character concerns have once clouted his past, his work ethic is not in question; he wants to be special. Dennis Hickey in particular has grown fond of the tweener from Norfolk State. Trail brings versatility as a hybrid defensive end/linebacker, very much in the mold of Dion Jordan. He is the unusual. He is a leader. He is a winner. He is exactly what Miami needs to become.

175 (6): Tray Walker, CB, Texas Southern
Incredibly raw player on tape (only 27 starts under his belt), but his outstanding physical traits will see him drafted in the late rounds. In college, Walker would shut down virtually all of his opposition (albeit, it was weak opposition). To add to his resume, he isn't afraid to make tackles in open space. With a little coaching, this small school corner could push veterans Zack Bowman, T.J. Heath, and Will Davis, while providing insurance for a future without Brent Grimes.

    1 Trae Waynes CB
    2 Denzel Perryman MLB
    4 Robert Myers G

I've been Devante Parker or if they trade back Kendricks but Waynes looks like a special talent. Grimes retirement at 32 is imminent. The Dolphins are questionable at the 2nd CB position. They need a #1 CB this offseason or next offseason. So might as well be now if Waynes is available.
