After taking Parker, Matthews tumbles down to the fifth spot on the depth chart, is in the final year of his deal, and will almost certainly not be resigned after 2015.

Any chance he's packaged with our 4th rounder to move up into the late 3rd? Would he be worth a 5th or 6th by himself? Traded for another team's extra guy at OL or LB?

Its definitely possible if a good receiver falls to the Dolphins' laps on day 3, like Kenny Bell.

Everyone but Landry should have been scared for their jobs this offseason. Hell yes Mathews could be dealt but what would you get, a 7th? I mean Stills got NO a 3rd rounder.

I can't imagine getting anything more than a 7th for him, so what's the point?

Id keep him, unless you can package him somehow and move up, which I doubt. So... you might as well hang onto him for the depth.

No reason to get rid of him. You need lots of receivers in this offense and he has had some flashes. This offense will probably always carry five wideouts.

We keep him. I only trade him for an OL straight up.

I think he's a goner, the Dolphins have made it clear guys that don't want to be here won't be here. This guy has asked for a trade multiple times now.

I think he gets traded or cut. There is no room for a 5th WR that isn't a special team ace or returner. I hope for Matthews case he goes elsewhere also, hes a decent player. Could thrive some where if given the chance.

I think I would call St. Louis and talk about a straight up trade for Zak Stacey.

I don't think you just move him for any pick. Even if just for a year a dirt-cheap backup of his caliber is nice. There's a very good reason why Matthews has stuck for so long with Philbin hating him.

The one who should be mad is Tre not Stacy. Stacy is okay nothing special. Tre though is a special player.

I have to think that's probably the case. He's a late-round pick that has come into the league and not really done anything at all.

Most teams would at least want to believe there is some upside in a late-round pick. Matthews has had several years to show something and at this point, the possibility of big upside is virtually nil.

    If the 49ers would give me a 5th, 6th or 7th, he's gone.

As the fifth WR on the roster and a player who really hasn't shown much in his time with the Dolphins, I don't see any team having much interest in trading a draft choice for him.

Any team interested in him can probably wait a few months and they will probably be able to sign him without giving up anything, after the Dolphins cut him.

I will be extremely surprised if he is still on the roster once the regular season begins.
