Round 5 wish list OG Shaq Mason GT DE Lynden Trail Norfolk St. ILB Ben Heeney Kansas OT Tayo Fabuluje TCU Maybe Jake Ryan or Damian Swann as well.
Agree with you. Don't know if Petty will work out but he's worth the shot. Their first round pick was the highest graded player in the draft by many. To get him at the 6th pick was ridiculous.
"Hey, let's all copy and paste the weakness write-ups of all the prospects we draft so it will seem as if we made a bad pick every round!" "Stellar idea!"
I don't care about the rankings. I care what my eyes tell me. In fact, the ESPN draft coverage actually liked the pick. Plays with with heavy feet. Not a good mover, has huge strides which could limit how well he pulls (unless technique is changed). Not very sudden. Run blocking is weak, not great push and just aims to get in the way. Hands aren't that powerful. I mean the potential is there but I still think there were better prospects available.
Jets should have gambled on Hundley over Petty.. Hundley has far more potential. Could be another Newton.. Petty was a go route passer... didn't excel at any other part than the deep ball..
The Leonard pick will be a wash once they trade or don't resign Wilkerson following this season. Leonard also will need surgery on both shoulders since he has torn ligaments in there. He is a hell of a player and I'm surprised he fell to 6, but following this year when you subtract out Wilkerson it'll likely be a wash.
David Cobb RB from Minnesota wouldnt be a bad round five pick. We need a RB who can always get a positive three yards and he's a thumper. He's not a gamebreaker but I think he would be great on goal line situations and 3rd and 1's.
Wouldn't mind him or Ajay. I know Ajay's knee is supposedly bone-on-bone but people have different pain thresholds and he was probably the most complete back in this years draft. He can catch and pick up the blitz with ease. If we take him and he plays how he did in college for only 3 years than that justifies the 5th round pick in my opinion.
Rashad Greene would be a hell of a pick here too. I know we don't need WR help, but Greene is a great WR prospect.
thats true. the knee scared me off him but with a 5th even if you only get a few years from the guy its worth it
Sorry guys Jake Ryan and Shaq Mason both gone in the last couple picks...NE strikes again. TRE then Shaq in there last 2. Trying ti stop Suh i guess
douglas centers on the move really innately good, tough player, will dive and put his body on the line just to make a block, excellent pop on arrival..better player than jackson for me.
excellent pop on arrival? What tape did you see that on? I didn't really see it myself. Just curious. You really like him better than Jackson?
S Anthony Harris from Virginia might be a decent pick here. He's got good instincts just a bit small framed
In the case that you do care, here's a running list of my opinions and analysis of day 3's picks: http://youngspeaksports.com/2015/05/02/nfl-draft-coverage-rounds-4-7/ Obviously, I'm on here discussing the Phins, too.
bobby mccain cb memphis athletic guy, little on the short side but a darned good player and a good fit
i would be happy with that too. a gamble on greatness with a 5th is good drafting even if the knee injury prevents it
