Dolphinesque plot-twist: signs with the Saints and proceeds to win a Superbowl; becomes a perennial probowler there.
Because Pouncey and the rest bullied him, and his mother (who may or may not have a questionable career path.)
I don't see why. Miami has as good if a shot as anyone. And when you break down all the benefits of coming to Miami, we should be on the short list of best available teams.
Because like you said, we have as good of a shot as anyone. Maybe slightly more. If there are 15 teams offering him a contract(a first round player, cleared of any wrong doing, without draft pick compensation, and a small contract), which 15 should be offering him, that means we have a 1 in 15 chance to sign him. Maybe 1 in 5 chance of us signing him if we are in fact on the short list. That is a 80% chance of us NOT signing him. Just trying to stay realistic...
I'm trying HARD not to get excited about the prospect of him joining the Dolphins...but it's not working... I think if we manage to land Collins, this board will collectively allow Deej to diddle the Tannenballs.
I went on La'el Collins' twitter page looking for clues- if you scroll down to April 13 - Jarvis Juice Landry in case you thought it was the gloves... you'll see the sickest one handed catches I've ever seen. https://twitter.com/70laelcollins
So he is going to get pitch from Rex Ryan and Joe Philbin? Ny State tax, gods forsaken frozen Buffalo verse South Beach, and a Franchise QB...that still is not enough for Coach Regis to outsell Rexy.
Other players have LSU players too...... If I were a free agent and could choose any place. Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville, San Diego would certainly be on my list.
It's only a 1 in 15 chance if there's no context to his decision making process. So, there's either the chance that he favors Miami as a destination and it's closer to your 1 in 5, or he doesn't like Miami and the chance likely diminishes to < 1 in 15. essentially what you said, but this was more to the comment yesterday that someone stated we had a 1 in 32 chance to sign him, which isn't accurate.
I really don't know how Tannehill, who is basically a game manager type QB, could be considered a Franchise QB. Unless of course your definition of a Franchise QB is a QB who is the QB of an NFL frachise. In that case, every team in the NFL has a franchise QB. Perhaps Tannehill will eventually evolve into a top tier QB, but I don't know of any other so called Franchise QB who has a losing record as a starting NFL QB.
Rex didn't sound confident in signing Collins during his press conference today "We had dinner. Thats the extent of it" Nothing more, nothing less, nothing exciting. Monotone.
That's likely because teams aren't suppose to meet with players who haven't graduated, or something to that effect, according to PFT. I think rex was just trying to downplay the whole thing to avoid trouble. I certainly hope it's because Collins wasn't interested in Buffalo, but I gotta believe Rex made an impression of some kind. His players love the **** out of him. Also, Trai Turner (Former LSU G, now Panther) is recruiting Collins too, according to his twitter. Carolina would be a good fit for him as well. They need lineman, especially a T. While the jury is out on him being a LT, grooming him as a G w/a possible transition to LT is a good selling point, one I'd hope Miami makes.
Barry Jackson @flasportsbuzz Bleacher Report's Jason Cole reports La'el Collins prefers to join team where he could play OT; that would maximize earnings in 2nd contract
You could follow your own advice. Of course putting him on ignore wouldn't change him posting the same, tired stuff, it would just remove one person willing to call him out on it.
Well, I do apologize. I really wish the quote feature wouldn't put up the quotes of people you've blocked. I've experienced your pain.
La'el Collins not the father... Per Josina Anderson... Breaking: I've been notified by representatives of OT La'el Collins that his paternity test results were negative. Specifically, Collins is not the father of Brittney Mills' child and Collins passed A polygraph test administered by an independent investigator in connection with Mills' case.
I almost posted a Maury gif, but given the circumstances of this case, I'll try and avoid that route for the time being. There's really no silver lining to find in any of this. Horrific story really.
Why would this guy want to come to the AFC East where he will get abused by the Jets DL and/or the Dolphins and Bills?
Certainly no silver lining. Only useful information is that this refutes the idea that Collins killed her because she was pregnant with his baby.
Yeah. I thought of a Billie Jean joke, but with a woman having been killed with her unborn child it's just not a time for jokes. Sad as hell, some of the stuff that happens. Glad Collins is clear, at least.
Thank you! That's kinda the point I was trying to make earlier. Let's just not forget a woman and baby died.
