So they have Randy Gregory and Collins? The Cowboys man, they're always employing these kind of guys going back to the JJ days.

How is Collins anything like Gregory or the like? ****ing Cowboys offensive line is beastly... But if playing LT is important, why sign with the cowboys who just gave out a 100 million dollar contract to their LT?

Youre going to get flamed for saying that but it's probably true, in a vacuum.

La’El Collins is set to join one of the NFL’s top offensive lines.

Collins, the LSU standout who went undrafted last week, has signed with the Cowboys, Charean Williams of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported Thursday.

Im not saying either one is a criminal or anything like that. Just that Jerry Jones has no problem signing guys with red flags in their off field conduct.

LOL. Thats the best wording I've seen on a question in a long time. Props.

Meaning the Dolphins have an offense that can actually stay on the field and score points, resting their defense and allowing them more opportunities to pressure the QB. The Bills and Jets are somewhat lacking in those areas so while they may have more talent on paper I expect the Dolphins DL to perform as good if not better.

Merge my thread with this. Yeah it sucks. He didn't even talk to any other teams. Teams weren't allowed to come to him but he could go visit teams. Strange because earlier today I saw articles stating he had a visit in place with Miami in the next couple days.

So either he was full of it for wanting to start at T or Jerry's side hush money was too good to pass up. At least now he's less likely to get injured, but will he be able to showcase enough for a big second contract?

either way that line is beast, AP could run for 2700 yards behind it.

It continues to bewilder me with all the pursuit, or whatever limited pursuit teams were able to do, and the interest by NFL teams why nobody took a late round flyer on him. Especially a team like Miami. A league with 32 some competent, some great, some not so great front offices, and nobody correctly calculated that the reward was worth the risk in a late round. I guess maybe he could have refused to sign if it wasn't with a team presenting him a good opportunity, but seems like it wouldn't have been a viable strategy based on everything we know. Oh well.

So, uh, would Dallas now be looking to trade one of their OL starters? Or Collins is fine with sitting on the bench until/unless there is an injury? Was his dream to play for the Cowboys?

So many questions about how this went down. Miami is going to face two very good DLs in the Jets and Bills this year (and whoever else on the schedule) so I hope they are not yet satisfied with the OL as it is right now.

If you gathered all the manure from every horse and all the cattle in Texas and piled it on Jerry Jones it would still be much too noble of a burial for that lowlife piece of dung.

I really don't know why anyone is surprised he signed with Dallas. They are the one playoff team from a state with no state income tax. Because they are more likely to make the playoffs this coming season than any of the others teams in tax free states, he will likely earn more money by being on a playoff team.

He is closer to his family in Dallas than he would have been in Miami. Also growing up where he did, it is very likely he grew up a Cowboys fan and as long as he has to play for a reduced salary as an undrafted free agent, perhaps he wanted to play for his favorite team growing up.

I would have loved to see him sign with Miami, but he has made his decision and I wish him the best. Now we just have to hope the Dolphins find an answer at their starting guard positions before Tannehill gets killed.

You assume that Tannehill doesn't have a plan to kill Dallas Thomas already.

I think he would more likely prefer to kill Philbin. Because it is Philbin who seems to think Thomas can actually be a starter in the NFL. Even though all the evidence to this point clearly shows Thomas doesn't have the ability to play at the NFL level on a consistent basis.

Proud to see our players give it a shot in a unique situation. That's all I could've asked for as a fan.
