-- Joe Philbin said RB Dee Hart has stood out to him.
-- The legendary Don Shula is giving the Dolphins rookies and youngsters a post-practice speech.
-- DeVante Parker dropped right into a zone and caught a floating pass along the right sideline. Very QB friendly. Poorly thrown balls get caught.
-- Jamil Douglas is having a better day than Friday. Saw him anchor well vs Philemon Jones.
-- DT Jordan Phillips just plowed thru G Jamil Douglas in pass protection drill. Douglas has looked Ok, however.
-- Mill Hull with an interception of a pass Chase Rettig telegraphed.
-- Bobby McCain with a nice breakup of a pass to Matt Hazel.
-- 7-on-7 is beginning. Zach Vigil is the linebacker directing traffic.
-- Zach Vigil is the inside linebacker today. Mike Hull is at weakside and Jeff Luc is on strong side.
    -- Jordan Phillips is limping.

Parker's just catching everything, based on all reports. We'll see how he does against Grimes later on, but it's looking like this pick was worth it.

Phillips showing his strength, but he did acknowledge he takes plays off, which is worrying (from 0:20):

For a split second, I thought that was Mike Wallace (flashbacks to him being #11). Then I realized, "Wait, he can't make that catch..."

That's our first round pick.:knucks:

Man, I am so ****ing excited about Parker. The dude catches everything and he attacks the ball in the air. Such a major advantage with his size. He's going to be a major weapon.

I do see it as very positive sign that Parker is impressing in shorts. Usually it's the small WRs that get the kudos at this stage.

I remember writing about how hard Parker was flashing two years ago..pretty cool that he's a dolphin..

don't believe we've ever had a receiver as talented as him in our uniform..

that was sweet. and did you hear the reaction from the bystanders. a "whoa" was uttered in unison. gotta love that.
could really end up being a dynamic backfield. when was the last time we could say that? probably Ricky.

what I love about our class is that they all have nfl bodies already..douglas has to improve size and strength but the rest is all good.

I can't remember being this optimistic in the off-season. The difference is, it's not a charade like bringing in a Daunte Culpepper. Tannehill is a grown over 3 years talent from a rookie, so we know the basement and speculate on the ceiling.
-Add the big potential for the WR group (especially considering the bad fits Wallace and Hartline were)
    -Add the best D line we've had since J Taylor-D Gardener-T Bowens-T Armstrong
-The hope that D Thomas won't be our LG and Billy Turner can at least be an average RG
-the duo that will be Miller and Ajayi instead of Miller and Thomas
-underappreciated upgrade of Cameron over Clay (if he can stay healthy)

He had a good rookie camp, no question. But, maybe we can let him catch a pass in a game that mater before we declare him better than HOFers?

i said specifically...as ''talented'' as we've ever had...

if you want to debate that then I'm all ears, find me another young receiver that is as gifted, not just athletically, but body control and hand eye coordination that tops Devonte Parker.?

i see that you linked paul warfield..he was a graceful athlete no question?, is that it?

How can you not love this guy. Jay reminds me so much of Marcus Lattimore, especially off the field. Super confident yet humble, and really glad to be a Miami Dolphin. Check out this interview if you haven't already. Gotta love that slight english accent too. It's about as unique as it gets in the NFL.

I don't have to go past Warfield. Devante hasn't shown anything close to what Paul did. It's not fair to try to put that on him based on a rookie camp and college. He hasn't shown himself to be in Chris Chambers league yet.

I'm not saying it's impossible that he could go down as the most talented ever (or as talented). I'm saying it's far too early to declare that.

    Well away from here
As nice as it is, let's really remember that in the end everyone wins their matchup with air. Yes we can see athleticism etc but when the pads come on is when we should really pay attention. Training camp will be the true test and that is two months. Anything in shorts is nice an all but that's all it really is.

Talent =/= production, is what you're getting at, I think. One can be the most talented, even without playing one regular season game.

In that circle drill he showed an impressive amount of speed and body lean for a dude that big.

not necessarily production because we don't know, the combination of size, speed, coordination and pure receiver talent is the best I've seen in a dolphin uniform..

exactly taz, noticed that too, really noticed how he was hustling and his body..the big misconception is about his body, this is not a fat man, this is an athlete first, who happens to have a hereditary problem around his waist, in his case it will not affect his movement or athleticism, and I think we've seen that proof already so I know I'm correct..

I put myself in that kid's shoes and I find myself next to Ndamukong Suh, terrified that I might let him down when he's counting on me. As such, I find myself no longer worried about the kid's motivation.

Shorts are all we have right now. I'd much rather opine rookie prospects than dissect Joe Philbin at this point in the season.

Watch these two highlights and tell me you're not giddy at the potential improvement this year. Upgrade at WR corps, upgrade at #2 RB, upgrade at TE and Oline (potentially).
-We really need guard play to solidify
-We really need someone to step up to #2 CB slot now that our nickel is solidified
-We really need our depth to improve (which on paper seems to have happened)

    http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=2014+ryan+tannehill+highlights&FORM=VIRE3#view=detail&mid=C766EFFC287E3F9BCABCC766EFFC287E3F9BCABC

[EDIT] and I've been a Wallace basher for awhile, but you have to admit, he had some nice catches last year when you least expected it. he didn't live up to his potential, but when Tannehill puts the ball there for him near the endzone, he had some nice TDs. having said that, with Parker and Stills I expect 2x the number of highlights in 2015

I'd like to see him play a season in our uniform before saying he is more talented than HOF WR Paul Warfield.
