I'll be the first to say it...

...if you gave me the chance to re-write history and have Miami be the ones with 4 Super Bowls and a few cheating scandals I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I would have a beer and laugh about it. If folks were throwing mud--even justifiably--at us and we were the team with all the Play-off success, 6 trips to the Super Bowl and 4 titles, I have to think we'd all be laughing it off.

To be honest, it just doesn't bother me. I don't care if Brady under-inflated balls because I'd be fine it it was Ryan Tannehill doing it.

    Colorado Dolfan ...dirty drownin' man?

So... How you gonna punish Brad Johnson? He's retired. You gonna punish the current Bucs for something that happened 12 years ago?

...and there's a huge difference between what Rodgers did and what the Patriots "allegedly" did.

Rodgers sent over-inflated balls to the refs in the hopes that they'd screw up and he could potentially benefit. The Patriots "allegedly" deflated balls after the refs had already checked, thereby bypassing the ref checks totally...

The problem is the Pats were caught. In the present.

This is like the whole Bullygate thing. The Dolphins got caught, but I don't doubt that sort of thing happened in many locker rooms around the league.

This is how it works. One team gets caught and others fix their **** to avoid getting in trouble.

Why? He was completely right about our entire 2013 offseason....he was right when he ripped Philbin after he was non-committal on whether Tannehill would start against Oakland.

Wouldn't be surprised. Matt Cassel was able to have a great year there and look what has become of him. NE just runs a really QB friendly offense.

People who are fans of other teams that I talk to think that Ryan Tannehill is a pretty good young QB. "27 touchdown passes ain't chump change."

It's only the delusional few in this fanbase who think he stinks.

Trust me if that was going on in Miami, we would be defending Tannehill and be acting like Patriots fans are right now telling everyone they hate us cause they aint us lol

There are MAJOR differences between what Johnson and Rogers did and what the Pats and Brady have been doing.

First off, Johnson AND Gannon mutually agreed to doctor the balls before the SB which equals an even playing field.

Secondly, Rogers isn't altering the balls AFTER ref inspection. He isn't hiding anything.

Sure. Yet they're all cheating. If Rodgers is able to get over-inflated balls through the check, then he's knowingly playing with illegal balls. Would you like Rodgers suspended for some games? And who cares if both QBs agreed to cheat? I thought we were mad about the about the Patriots consistently trying to cheat the system? I'm just saying, this stuff is rampant throughout the league, it's not simply the Patriots. Stop being naive.

We can't say based on the few similar examples cited that it's "rampant." That's too much of a stretch I think. I honestly doubt the majority of the league is cheating. It's possible but it would really surprise me.

But it's fair to say that if none of the coaches or players across the NFL are coming out commenting negatively on the Patriots that's it's probably a negligible, mostly-BS kind of thing we're talking about.

Either it doesn't make enough of a difference to have people complaining...or everyone is doing it and the playing field is equal.

Either way, it doesn't seem like this matters.

I'm not being naive. I never said anything about no one else has or is cheating. My points stil stand.

I simply pointed out how different the circumstances are with the examples you used.

The Pats are cheating to get an advantage over the other team. Johnson and Gannon were not. Were they breaking the NFL rules? Yes. Were they cheating against the other team, no.

Again Rogers isn't altering the balls AFTER inspection! How are the balls illegal when the refs OK them for use? Rogers having the balls over inflated certainly doesn't give his whole team an advantage either by way of better grip, lessening drops, and fumbles in good, and especially bad weather.

I have not been in the mains a whole lot since I joined Club which is awesome, but after reading several of your posts in this thread....are you a Dolphins fan? It seems that you are going to great lengths to defend the Patriots...just curious is all. Thanks:up:
