Here's a little reversals fun. I'll start by stating a real positive from the Dolphins last season, off season or OTAs and the next person in the thread has to reverse it and explain why it'll all go wrong (you can be as serious or silly as you like) and then post another true positive that the next commenter has to reverse. For example, Positive: Suh's been a beast in the first OTA playing at full steam, the defence promises to be awesome. Reversal: Sadly, he'll go on to injure at least one offensive lineman and with a shallow OL and Albert not quite the same the Dolphins OL will struggle again and Suh will have wreaked more havoc on our offence than anyone else's! Get the idea? So here we go - Positive - Miller ran far better than anyone expected last season. The Dolphins' run game looks set to be better than we might have thought a year ago.
Lamar Miller's success came despite an awful offensive line largely on the back of a well-schemed run game by Bill Lazor. He's basically trying to stay one step ahead of defenses with it, and expecting it to keep up with an offensive line that is still going to have some genuinely awful interior play is problematic. Positive- Jelani Jenkins was very good last year taking over for Dannell Ellerbe at the weakside linebacker position.
I agree, but I think you are supposed to follow that up with your own positive for the next person to post a negative about, as well. I'd help, but I just like reading all the input from all the great posters here.
Ah, I gotcha Ophin. Let's see: Positive - Dion Jordan is a physical specimen who has shown the propensity for game-changing type plays.....
On Madden 15. Now if he could actually do it with pads on, that be awesome, but right now I'd settle for pissing Ina cup. On the bright side I think we have more talent than many believe at a couple of positions.
At least half of that talent will not be seeing the field either due to injury or just plain inept coaching. Positive: Dallas Thomas appears to be able to tie his shoes correctly. That is both shoes.
Negative; Apparantly our coaching staff is judging his performance strictly on his ability to tie a double knot. Positive; Our receiving core is young, hungry, loaded with talent and working their tails off to get better and grow real chemistry with Tannehill.
Negative: The Samson Satele experiment seemed to work last year. Positive: we have WR's that won't trip over a blade of grass
Negative: Despite being able to stay on their feet, poor play design and the presence of Dallas 'Turn-stile' Thomas, will mean the WR's won't ever get to catch the ball. Positive: With Tannehill's trend for continual improvement and this being his second year in Lazor's system, things look promising for his performance at QB.
Negative: Dallas Thomas will likely be starting guard (blech) Positive: Coach Philbin looks to have learned his lesson and will emphasize performance toward the end of games.
Negative: Coach Philbin seems to have learned his lessons towards the end of games but enters the "deer in the headlights" mode the last quarter of the season that causes us to miss the playoffs once again. Positive: Bed check gets extended to the regular season and all the players on the roster get ample amounts of sleep.
Negative: A massive texting scandal comes about in which the players mock Philbin and in fact stay up late, thus playing poorly and inevitably adding validity to his strategy...he gets another extension from Ross while players are cut and traded. Positive: The Dolphins loaded up on late-round DBs and post-draft LBs and are heading into camp with a massive wealth of depth behind what looks to be a stout D-line.
