Cavs D looking active. Irving looks fresh and quick as hell. TThompson just digs dudes out on the boards. Still think Dubs are the better team, though. Wouldn't be surprised if they lost this one and then rattled off 4 straight, or 4/5.
Wade said he would welcome a contract that is worth 20 million per season for the next 3 years... Wade, Phil Jackson will like to welcome you to the Knicks. We aren't paying you that.
It's 2003. NBA draft night. The picks have been made, the hats have been worn, and everyone is happy. Someone whispers in your ear, "J.R. Smith will make an NBA Finals before Carmelo Anthony." You laugh.
Curry looks tired. This where the Cavs have the advantage IMO. This has been a relatively light workload for Lebron this off season. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
The Warriors are taking the Cavs to school lol. They only slowed themselves down, now that they have settled down you can clearly tell the Warriors are judt on another level. And Kyrie is limping in tears to the lockers. I feel bad for him, hope hes alright and it is nothing serious.
Cavs blew this one. LeBron was a force and the Dubs were not themselves for most of that game. GS never really found their usual flowing groove on defense, weren't moving it on offense as they usually do to get those looks from inside or out. Bogut with a weird game too. Now you'll see them loosen up and win gm 2 by double-digits, imo.
Kyrie Irving looked to be in major pain heading to the locker room. I'd be shocked if he played again this series.
Last years Heat would have won tonight, just saying. Lebron you and KD are welcome to join the Heat in 2016.
I'll be curious to see if they keep with the small-ball they played down the stretch there, with no Bogut (Steph, Klay, Iggy, Barnes, Green - probably their 5 best players but no big for Moz or boards). Seemed to work in OT, but I think it might've just been tired Cleveland. The way Cleveland grinds the pace down and hammers the glass has to be a concern for Kerr as he looks for lineup matchups though. The advantage the Cavs have there is pretty big, especially on ORB scramble plays for open 3s. Let the chess match begin.
Warriors might sweep after this. Irving on top of warriors getting "finals jitters" out might lead to complete domination the rest of the way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
He looked terrible trying to walk. I doubt he re-enters the series. It's going to be GSW all the way.
It depends on the severity of the injury... without him though this game wouldn't have gone to overtime lol and the Cavs don't score more than 80...
Dwyane Wade played in 86 of 87 playoff games the last 4 years. The only game he missed was game 4 in the first round after being up 3-0 on Milwaukee. So..the argument of going for a healthier #2..is over. Kyrie Irving couldn't carry D-Wade's jock strap with a fork lift.
So you acknowledge that basically for 80% of Melo's career he had no legit #2 scorer? And no a PG, not even one as good as a declining Billups was is not a legit #2 scorer. Amare was really the only legit #2 scorer Melo ever played with and that just wasn't a match.
Well the freak injury to Love didn't help the Cavs. I think Irving has a pretty serious knee issue. I don't think Lebron left over Wade's health.
Or by Cavs standards (29% last night vs 36.7% regular season). Actually, the Warriors weren't as far off from their season average (37% last night vs 39.8% for season).
They shot more or less their season averages and got 23 pts out of Speights and Iggy. As a Cavs fan I was encouraged that the Cavs shot really poorly and still had a chance to win it. GS had some flukey good games from bench guys and the Cavs didn't shoot well. None of it matters with Kyrie hurt - but I went into the series thinking the Cavs may get swept and before the Kyrie injury I was pretty encouraged they had a real shot to win it. They were really slowing Golden State down.
