Its just weird to me how many times Curry and Klay had an open lane and instead of driving it in for two, they bricked another 3 point shot. I know thats their identity but come on that is just stupid basketball and Gentry keeping his mouth shut about it does not help things. You have to call them out when they do that. They must have given up at least 14 points on stupid plays like that. Thats cool in the regular season, not the playoffs. And yes im calling out Gentry, Kerr is just a puppet.
That's the problem. Threes are tougher to make (especially when you get cold), tougher to get fouls, less tip ins, less rebounds, etc. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
That Cleveland crowd was shaking the ground all the way down to Cbus. These guys are up 2-1 and even JR and Shump are playing bad, it's insane. To me? The answer to winning game 4 for GS is to get David Lee on the floor, he is the only guy who I saw score around the rim for them in 3 games. I see a Warrior win Thu if that happens and whoever wins game 5 winning the series. LBJ is literally on another planet, whatever that team needs he provides....if he finds a way to win this title for that town? Greatest of all time in my book.
With the way the Cavs are just running everyone at Curry on screens why doesn't GS run a Klay / Curry action? Seems like it would blow up the Cavs' defense.
Did he look like he had "energy" in the 4th quarter when he was trying to win the game by himself and scored the most pts. in a Finals 4th quarter since who knows when?
Line is at GS -2.5 for Game 4. I am making the largest bet of the season at any number below that, and I might just bite the bullet and give the -2.5
I know most of this board is cheering against the Cavs so they'll disagree - but this is kind of why sports are fun. Logically, the Cavs should have no shot in this series. Based on everything we know about these two teams it should've been a sweep. What's happening is completely insane. It defies logic. This is what makes sports great - when just completely insane and unexpected things happen. There's still a decent chance the Cavs get run off the court the rest of the series - but I'm guessing everyone is dying to find out, now.
From Twitter: Overall, Warriors shot 33% on uncontested shots. Barnes was 0-for-4, Green 1-for-5, Klay 3-for-8, Steph 2-for-7, Iggy 3-for-8. That is 20 points below their average.
Hey, I actually like analytics, I just don't like where the focus is. Too much focus on offense and specific shots in a vacuum without taking into account the other stuff I mentioned. I myself believed and still believe the Warriors will win but I just didn't agree with the sentiment that the Cavs would get stomped. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
He is? Which one? I don't see why he would travel to another planet at such an important time. Maybe he just wants to get away from the media hype.
Ive stuck with live betting for the most part of the series... Was able to get +14.5 GS when they were down by 20, and over 177 all in live bets.
I see either Cavs in 6 or Dubs in 7. Tomorrow's game is huge - did that 4th quarter give GS back some mojo? Do the Cavs have enough healthy bodies to even field a roster? Warriors tie it up and regain home court advantage it's gonna be tough for the Cavs to do anything. It's so hard to predict anything with confidence in this series, tho haha.
Not really, no. Best shooter maybe ever, so I'm not surprised at what he did, but he looks drained. This happens to almost everyone. No matter how much you train for a marathon, the first time you run one your body will fail.
Harrison Barnes was the one guy that stood out yesterday for me, man that guy was terrible.. and who told him he's a 3 point shooter lol 3-10 this series... the Warriors didn't draft you as high as they did to be a spot up three point shooter... they drafted you because of your athleticism and what used to be, willingness to attack the basket.
Im not sure it is physically possible for Cleveland to win Thu, game 5 imo will tell you who wins this series...I KNOW I'm in the minority here...but what they have done thus far off of heart and hussle is nothing short of admirable. I still think the momentum shifts Thu and they come up just short. Its hard to match that intensity for 2 weeks game in game out, plus Kerr accidentally stumbled upon his saving grace in David Lee. Its like Bane said in the first fight about the effort Batman was giving..."admirable, but mistaken"
Man, you don't know have like Cleveland, you don't have to like LeBron the human, but LeBron the basketball player is ****ing exciting to watch, man. I don't care what you say.
Guys? How come the Warriors management doesn't just shut off the A/C in the arena? Lebron will end up cramping towards the end of the game.
To you he looks drain. To me....I say you need to check your eyes. 2 Years ago..Steph Curry played 3,480 Minutes total. He has played 3,318 so far this season.
I don't think he looks drained at all, so much as he just is playing stupid basketball and just making bad decisions. That terrible no look pass yesterday was a costly turnover. Then a bunch of fastbreak opportunities leading to a bricked three is a terrible decision. Klay, Steph and Harrison have got to make better decisions period. If the lane is open, attack.. And David Lee has got to play more, Bogut sucks.
I think he needs to just try to take over more. He's passing out of these double-teams and Green is a disaster and other guys are missing shots. In the 4th when he decided to just dribble around until he got enough space to shoot, he took over. Seems like Golden State only having one guy who can create off the dribble is catching up with them. It's funny that Zach Lowe (who is the best) just wrote a big piece about how they made the right choice to not trade for Kevin Love because they have Draymond Green - but I wonder how they would look if they had anyone else on the court that could create shots.
They have a bunch of guys that can create their own shot and create for others. Curry, Livingston, Klay and Iggy can all initiate offense. and not to sound like a johnny come lately...But I'd rather have Draymond instead of Love. I don't care how bad Draymond has been.
Iggy at this stage of his career? No, hes not going to initiate offense for others. Maybe a player here and there but not consistently. And no way on Draymond vs Love. Love is a square peg in a round hole in Cleveland but on his worst day hes better then Green. Green is a valuable player but hes not an all star at Love's level. At his best this isnt even a conversation because Love was killing it 2 years ago in Minnesota (which is also why I think Love somehow finds his way to Houston this or next offseason reuniting him with McHale) and had 2 of the best seasons ever for a PF. Green has had a nice year, hes certainly a nice complimentary piece but someone is going to drastically overpay for him this offseason. Anything more then 8M for him is too much even with the cap increasing imo.
Draymond was a DPOY candidate at the age of 25, and his offensive game is growing exponentially. He is going to improve. Love is formed already.
