I think the only thing that can save the Cavaliers now is if Steph Curry does that Lil B dance without giving credit.
You guys wonder WHY I root for LeBron?? Put your agenda aside for just one second and let it soak in what he has done without the a a s two best players....40pt games and triple doubles aren't very common in case you were wondering.
I do not wonder that, no. Lebron was fabulous again. I said it before: he should win the MVP of this series no matter who wins.
smh Dellavedova (sp) http://cdn2.streamable.com/video/e90f6dc012f811e58b6f4bdfcb5e2949.webm He's like a shorter Olynyk.
Yeah, I mean that's the exact same thing. I'll say the same about that that I said about the Olynyk thing, though. That type of thing happens, and while it isn't exactly above board. I don't think either player was trying to hurt their opponent.
Easily? I don't know about that. He certainly has an argument, but some of the things Curry has done have been magical.
Or Cleveland gets favorable officiating in game 6, then something crazy happens in game 7. Unlikely, but still conceivable IMO.
Anyone other than LeBron would be a joke. Andre Iguadala being Finals MVP would be embarrassing for the league.
Why? Dirk won it in 11' over Wade. Tell me Wade wasn;t the best player on the floor in that series. Winning team should get the MVP if a series goes in less than 7 games.
Agreed that Wade was better. That said, Wade put up 26-7-5. Dirk put up 26-10. Wade was more efficient, thus better. But there was not big enough of a discrepancy to give it to someone on the losing team. There is a massive discrepancy in what LeBron has done and what everyone else has. He is averaging 37-12-9 in the NBA Finals. You're going to give the MVP to someone who is averaging 26-5-5? That just does not pass the smell test. I think when you're seeing a performance like LBJs, you have to think twice. The guy is putting up unreal numbers. His team is garbage. James Jones probably should be out of the league, nevermind seeing significant Finals minutes.
As impressed as I am by what Lebron is doing....giving the MVP to a player on a losing team is just silly. That being said they WANT to find a way to give it to Curry, even though he has had about 4 good quarters this series. Hoping the refs decide to start giving the Cavs some home cookin and we get to enjoy a game 7.
Watch again he throws his entire lower body into Greens knee from the side. He knew what he was doing
It wasn't even 5 weeks ago that we were being told that this Cavs team was better than any Heat roster LeBron played on.
By Sheridan Hoops. What trades, cuts, and free agent signings have they made in the last 5 weeks? Valuable reference.
Who wants to give it to Curry? The media is beating this drum for Lebron to get it at all costs. As for home cooking...Refs "helped" that game last night toward the end of the 3rd. They tried to keep Cleveland close. They are still allowing the illegal screens and the grabbing of the #1 on every 1/4 GS P&R. I can;t see much more help coming that won;t look completely blatant.
I was pretty drunk by the 2nd half so I won't speculate...but this series as a whole has certainly not been officiated in an anti GS manner.
Yeah and specifically citing moving screens as evidence when GS has Green and Bogut out there is a tough sell, as well.
Look at the hot zones. Golden State is somehow finishing around the rim and getting no foul calls while Cleveland does. Then look at the high P&R and how it is being guarded. Then look at Cavs guards when they screen. it is clear as day.
Dirk played great that Series. No one other than Iggy for the Warriors has played great. That's the difference between 2006 and 2015. Yes, Wade was dominant, but so was Dirk. This is a perfect storm of Lebron playing out of his mind coupled with no single Warrior player standing out. I think Lebron deserves the MVP for sure.
Agreed. Mozgov has been getting worn down late, so I get resting him a bit, but essentially not playing the guy was a bad decision. The Cavs should not be trying to match the Warriors by going small, they should try and dictate the pace like they did in games 1 and 2.
GS had like 6 more FTs yesterday (when subtracting intentional fouls), and had one less FT in game 5 despite Cleveland playing big (I didn't look back further). Draymond Green had more FTAs yesterday than Lebron.
2011. The Dirk vs. Wade MVP series was 2011. As for the Warriors, they are beginning to have another player stand out. Curry is pickign it up as well. As for Lebron, he is not without fault either. he has not been efficient, he damn near melted down down the stretch in game 2, melted down in game 1, scored zero points in the game 4, 4th quarter...so he hasn't been perfect. He has accumulated numbers and out of 5 games, had Two honest to goodness Great games. it is not so cut and dry. I only give it to him in a losing effort if he goes nuts the next two games forcing a game 7.
