That is utter bull**** and whoever said that doesn't base their thoughts on reality, he had Wade who is a HoF'r and arguably the best 2 guard there in the history of the game, Allen, UD, Miller etc in Miami. He had depth there.....this team w/o LBJ was worse than the Knicks, if Cleveland had Irving and Love, it would have been entirely different.

NBA League Pass next year will offer single game options and the option to purchase a single team pass.

Pretty cool, as I only need it for the Heat.

Appears it's only broadband though so will have to figure out a way to get it to my tv

C'mon Sec, you're not really arguing that Matthew Dellavedova and Tristan Thompson are elite defensive players that make the Cavs a better team than Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love?

Dellavedova sucks. He's barely an NBA player. Their defense in the Finals was as much about scheme as it was personnel.

And the Cavs' starting lineup (after trades) had a DefRtg of 96.8. Their netrtg from that point to the end of the year was damn close to Golden State's. It would've been an awesome series.

Alright so this might be fun - Cavs fans acted like a bunch of whiny babies when LeBron left - what do they need to pay as their pound of flesh to make up for this?

Pretty sure the Cavs win with a healthy Kyrie and Love.

I was pretty disappointed with Klay Thompson to be honest. 41% and 15ppg would normally have gotten it done if those other two guys we're healthy. He was a complete non factor in game 6.

I have an AppleTV which has the League Pass App but it's in a different room than where I'd want the League Pass.

Could always just move it. Does PS4 have the NBA app?

Well, I haven't heard from him either so maybe you are jumping the gun...either way I'm not sure I would ever make a bet with some dude on Twitter but that's just me, I do not know your guys history. How the hell did you even come across eachother? I don't do Twitter so not sure about how the paths crossed.

Are these people in the Cavaliers next season?

    kevin Love
    tristan thompson
    David blatt
    Jr smith
    Iman Shumpert

I say the top two on the list has a 95% chance.

In order of likelihood to me:

Tristan is more or less a lock - they love him and he shares LeBron's agent. No way to replace him.
Shump probably stays just because they have no way to replace him so they have to pay.
I still don't see Love turning down Bird Rights to go to a worse team - even if he just signs a 1-yr deal to hit FA next yr.
Blatt likely returns. Wonder if Lue gets a head coaching job somewhere else, though.
JR wants to be here but said he's opting-out and wants a raise. Don't see Cavs doing that if they have to pay Shump.

I'm about as involved in Cavs twitter as humanly possible and I have no idea who that guy is. He has 149 followers. Not sure he can be used as the barometer to judge all Cavs fans.

A good start would be to stop acting as if they deserve something or that they were "wronged" in some way.

    They measure that.

Cavs are a much better defensive team without Kyrie and love.

He blocked me on twitter...I am pretty sure he is stiffing me on our bet.

He said he knew you and that you would vouch for him. I initially wanted to bet 5k. I wanted it in escrow. He talked me down to $500, and since he said you would vouch for him, I took the bet on his word.

    Now he is stiffing me.

Still made a killing in this series, but this is about principle.

JR told Broussard hes opting out and wants a raise. JR shot 31% this series and Iman 26%. Iman 11% from within 5 feet and they both dropped an 0 for the series without Lebron on the floor. Guess that speaks to how good Melo is that he made these fools look passable. I dont care of the 2nd round pick the Knicks got back was 2019 or 2029; Phil won that trade. Phil always wins. Got rid of 2 stiffs and a ton of what would be dead cap and let it be someone elses problem. And got a trade exception from that deal (and every other deal) hes made. Enjoy em Cleveland. Theyre ALL YOURS.

Eh - Shump pretty clearly screwed up his shoulder. He was shooting 37% from 3 before this series.

JR was shooting 39% from 3 before Kyrie went down and he was being asked to be the 2nd option on offense.

That was the biggest thing in the Finals, to me. You saw role guys being asked to be more than they were able. Smith can't be a 2nd option. Shumpert can't be forced to create off the dribble. Delly can't be asked to be a functional basketball player who has to walk and dribble at the same time.

I think Tristan's a lock, but I'm not sure on Love or Blatt. I think those two may come down to whether Lebron wants them there. :confused2: And I'm not as convinced as you that Love will want to return anyways. Smith and Shumpert reportedly will opt out and I don't expect they stay. I expect Cleveland's near future will depend on Lebron's ability to attract good enough players to add to him and Kyrie at below market salaries.

Shump is a restricted free agent so Cavs at least have opportunity to match.

If the Cavs don't want Love I still think he gets traded. Guys don't just give up Bird Rights very often. Especially someone coming off a major injury.

kevin Love's option is Lakers or Cleveland and Im not sure the Lakers care too much about Love at this point. Theyre not going to be a playoff team with or without Love next season. I think Love stays with the Cavs he will opt in and wait the following year for his big extension. Im shocked JR will opt out, im not sure what he thinks he is worth but I wouldnt give that guy MLE. He is insane if he thinks after what he has shown in the Finals that he will get a raise. Long term security sure but a raise I dont think so.

I just don't believe that there's that much of a difference in money when you add in marketing opportunities between being the #2 guy in LA (or #1 when Kobe leaves or is injured again) verses being the third wheel in Cleveland. In fact, on a purely financial decision Love probably makes much more in LA overall but it's not guaranteed in the form of salary. I think it comes down to how much he liked living/playing in Cleveland or thinks he'd like living in LA and if he believes that the Cavs will win a championship in the next 3 or 4 years. I don't believe the Cavs win a championship so for me the decision would probably be based largely on where I wanted to live and/or who I wanted to work with.

I am personally a big LeBron fan. He had the choice of one NBA team to come learn from, and he chose the best. His years in Miami were great. I understand why some fans are bitter about how he handled his departure, but I don't really agree with it.

Here's some quick numbers on his options (or at least these are someone else's math on these)-

Signs 5-yr max with Cavs this offseason - $108.8 million
Signs 4-yr max with another team this offseason - $80.8 million

    Difference of $28 million

    Opts-out, 1-yr deal, 5-yr max w Cavs next offseason - $163.2 million
    Opts-out, 1-yr deal, 4-yr max w another team next offseason - $126.1

    Difference of $37.1 million

I just keep coming back to him having back issues all year and now a separated shoulder. I don't see him giving up Bird Rights.

Only non-LeBron guy to give up Bird Rights was Dwight, right? And he did it to get AWAY from Kobe.

And at least Dwight never said "I'm returning to the Lakers next season", he always said he will test free agency. Love had already said he will be a Cavalier next season. And I know about what Boozer did in the past but this era is different, with the way social media is now, if Love bolts Cleveland... if you thought Vince Carter had it bad when he would play in Toronto.. this will be ten times worse and Love is known to be an ultra sensitive guy. I think he stays put there even if it isn't his first choice. the only way he leaves to another team is if his agent was informed that he's not in the long term plans for Cleveland. They don't have the cap space to bring in Aldridge or another guy, they only have Love's bird rights and Tristan's QO which is why they will be able to bring those two players back. Tristan signs a max offer sheet and Cleveland will match it.

If you see that *******, Fin-O, you make sure to explain to him, that I don't forget, and I won't stop till I get satisfaction. As a guy that has worked in construction for years, I am tired of doing backround checks, and credit evals.

I will find his information and turn his credit into mince meat. You tell him THAT. In the state of Florida, written authorization for a wager that carries no vigorish, or any longterm interest penalty, are completely binding and enforceable.

I will use that, and VERY LITTLE money to **** with this guy, just because I can.

That ship has probably sailed, and honestly, the fans that would care to do that are the vast minority I would guess. I don't think most Cavs fans feel that they did anything wrong and feel LeBron was always rightfully theirs. That's mainly what this whole thing comes down to. From what I can tell, reasonable fans like yourself don't make up a large portion of the fan base. That's just my opinion from the outside.

Im not relaying anything, I had no idea about any "twitter bet" until game 4. I think it is laughable that either of you would make a bet like this with strangers. Its not like here where reputation means something...its social media where all you have to do is block a guy and go about your day.

I have no intrest in being a crutch for either of you, and think its kind of ridiculous I was brought into this ecspecially when I wouldnt have vouched for EITHER of you.

GL though, i sincerely DO hope you get paid...im certainly not condoning his actions.

Take some accountability. You made a bet over twitter with a guy who said a mutual acquaintance would vouch for him and then you proceeded to never ask said acquaintance if he'd vouch for him (let alone even know him) until after you won the bet, and now you are seemingly rampaging over it. Seems predictable he wouldn't pay up.

On an unrelated note, let's make multiple high dollar bets in the future. I'm good for it, I know Fin-O personally...we are best bros...he'll def vouch for me...just don't ask him to.. k thanks.
