Four of those guys will probably be starting this year. On top of that one is the #2 TE and another is a solid ST contributor.

I'm no Ireland supporter, but in all fairness there's still time for this draft class to save some face if Taylor, Davis and Sims start playing a bigger role. Perhaps even Dallas Thomas, although I'm not about to get crazy here.

besides the fact that you finally could post something bad about this team again...took you some time to search the net for it i guess....this ranking is a joke

Just from the low percentage of rookies who typically make the roster, this was a pretty sweet draft, that may pay big dividends this year. Aundray Bruce far outshines Dion as bust material because Dion can actually play. He covered Megatron and Gronkowski successfully.

Didn't read it besides what you quoted.

Because, Jesus, everyone made the roster...Omar apparently has a literary doppelganger.

This ranking is made purely on Dion Jordan's ineptitude.

Jamar Taylor is still an unknown.
Dallas Thomas does suck, but it's still too early to declare bust.
Will Davis, like Taylor, is still an unknown.
Jelani Jenkins is a solid starter.
Dion Sims is a solid #2 TE.

You can't possibly use 2013 draft classes in these discussions because it's still too early to make a good, final judgement. I stick with the 3-year rule, and this season is going to be very important for guys like Taylor, Thomas, and Davis.

    Lazy Choice.

Dion Sims, Jelani Jenkins and even Dallas Thomas all did more for the Dolphins than anyone in the 2006 draft class.

I don't know about the overall ranking but considering all of the picks we had in the first three rounds going in its inept that we didnt draft more quality starters and at least one really good player, that kinda does make it a total bust of a draft IMO.

Well if Taylor and Davis don't step up this year a strong argument could be made for this. Never really got the Jordan pick and the staff never really has figured out how to use the guy, Dallas Thomas should be flipping burgers somewhere and Sturgis has been inconsistent at best. However I still don't think it compares to the 2006 draft. Major stink in that one!

Looking at it realistically and knowing what talent Miami has brought in since the 2013 Draft Class, I think down the road we'll look back and the heavy contributors will be Jamar Taylor, Jelani Jenkins and Dion Sims. Perhaps Caleb Sturgis if he can stay healthy.

IMO, I think Dion Jordan is done as a Dolphin. Dallas Thomas is what he is. Will Davis, Mike Gillislee and Don Jones...I've got a hard time seeing them make the team this year.

That 2006 class is putrid though. Still hard to believe Derek Hagan is still roaming around the NFL.

Let's not go over the top, A13. I have seen devoted fans, some of whom post here, become so continuously disappointed and frustrated by the unfailing tide of ineptitude (Does Philbin remind us somewhat of Wanny?) by management, coaching, and the fielded team that their only defense is to become skeptical of everything in order to avoid another season of increasing frustration heaped upon the already existing mountain of blighted hope!

I don't agree with the 2013 class being listed here. I think it's mostly an over-reaction to the Jordan pick. I'd have no problem with that pick being listed on a worst ever list, but the rest of the class wasn't bad. I would say that any class that produces two starters is actually a decent to good class. Now that 2006 class was horrid. That's one that could be listed among the worst ever. We could arguably have been better served by just skipping the draft that year.

I think it's fair, given who Miami could have had if they'd stayed at 12 (Sheldon Richardson, Star Lotulelei, potential Branden Albert trade w/2nd rounders), and how few snaps the class as a whole has produced thus far. 2006 was worse, but I can see why 2013's draft was chosen.

He said 2013 was chosen because he wanted to add a 2013 draft class because 2013 is looking like one of the worst draft classes of all time. Then he picked the Dolphins to represent, even though their 2006 was much worse.

heck Miami could have drafted Brandon Marshall in 2006, which would have saved them two 2nd round picks in the future.

I don't think it's enough to play the what if game and even then it was only one pick. The rest of the draft was actually decent to good. I thought all of the other draft classes in the "also considered list" were worse. I also don't see the snaps count for a recent draft as all that telling. The only players that you really expect to play early are your day one picks so if you have a miss there then your snap count looks bad. So that number is heavily skewed by the one miss. IMO a draft class is measured on how many starters you get out of it by year 3 or 4 (two starters is my goal for every draft), how many players get re-signed after their rookie contract and bonus points if you drafted any probowl or superstar guys. If we got 2 or 3 starters and depth player (or 2) out of every single draft we'd not only be happy. We'd arguably be one of the best drafting teams in the league.

(BTW I wanted DJ Hayden CB and Menelik Watson T with the picks we traded for Jordan. Which ended up being the exact two guys that the Raiders took with our picks. They haven't been great or anything. Hayden has had injury issues and Watson disappointed in 2013 but was decent in 2014. I think they'll both end up being starters though Watson might just end up as good OL depth. I think they've both had positive PFF grades when they've played.)

no offense, but that's a lame, chicken #$#$, copout of an excuse for behavior. Most of us have been fans for a very long time and have suffered through the same ineptitude. It doesn't mean that your posts/threads should be as equally inept.

2006 was bad but a lot of that was due to decisions outside of the draft. We had a 1, a 3, a 4, and 3 7s. It was doomed from the start.

Ehhh everyone handles adversity different. Some enjoy being optimistic and excited every year that "this is the year" and some feel so damned that the built up anger comes out.

Nobody is wrong here and his opinions are generally pessimistic but also arguably true for the most part.

Let's all hold hands in the name of optimism.

My point is maybe if we were actually a decent franchise it would "un-Jade" some fans. We are a bad organization and it sucks. I think the arrow is pointing up bit ive been wrong about this feeling for a long long time now.

He's a fan of whining. The Dolphins represent a great avenue to for that.

And and least we landed a very good starting LB. So it wasn't a total flop.

Meh, the writers have noticeably been mailing it in lately. For instance, they have an article on ota updates for all 32 teams. They just happened to forget Denver and New York. They're human, they get lazy.

It's obvious the writer is just taking a dump on Dion. It's extremely rare for all your rookies to stick.

Well, for myself, the 13 draft is not yet ready to be considered a flop. This is just the 3rd year and that is when drafts can usually be graded honestly...after their 3rd year of play. I still think we have a few that are going to make it as starters and play well for us....the only one that I have just about given up on is Dion Jordan and that is because I don't think that he could care less about football..especially in Miami for some reason. But, I am sure somebody will eventually bring him in again.
