I liked him coming out of college, but I was a little skeptical. Not anymore, the guy has embraced his role as a leader and has continued to get better each season. Our prayers have been answered. Now, if the rest of the team could actually match this guy's intensity, we may have something to really cheer about, more so than the past 10+ years anyway.

It is really hard to contain my offseason excitement. I truly believe that if we get Mathis and solidify this Oline that will be serious contenders for the division title in December. Mathis will allow Lazor to be a lot more creative with that little bit of extra time or a bigger hole for Miller and Ajayi to run through.

Yeah, the reports from camp seemed different than in the past years. We'll see how he plays when it really counts, but this is just one more reason to think he's gonna be better this year than last.

I agree but I am not going to get my hopes up again....I think we can roll with what we have but having Mathis would be really nice...hopefully if we do get him then he can work hard and help Jamil learn everything that needs to be done and that works while playing LG. Maybe he can give Billy some assistance as well helping him with some pointers on what works and what does'nt.

What's exciting for me, is seeing him grow. When have we EVER had that in the last 30 years?? I can't remember. Marino was ridiculous from jump street (spoiled us), and we've had soup-sandwiches since (including the later years of his career). We've never drafted a guy, developed him, and stuck with him through the not-so-good times to let him fully grow. I guess they tried with Henne, but he didn't have the faculties. I like seeing RT get better by the year, and in no way do I believe he's anywhere close to his ceiling.

I'm a fan...have been since they drafted him...I even dig driving through his hometown of Big Spring here in Texas...(I know I know...fangirl much?). I truly expect him to be the franchise for another 10 years.

Yeah, I generally agree. I think 2015 is the last year you'll have a significant number of Tannehill doubters.

One area I'm not as high on as you are is his ceiling. I think he'll improve and become a consistent above average QB, but I don't see him taking that step to an elite QB like Rodgers. Hope I'm wrong of course!

Ya I'm hoping for borderline elite (but wouldn't b*tch one bit about full blown elite status)...I think he has that in him. Though, borderline elite will make for MANY more "How good is Tannehill?!" arguments around here. They could just go ahead and get that ring and squash all that crap.

My anticipated schedule this fall will suck in terms of watching Dolphin games. I'll end up recording the games and watching them later. So I'm expecting a magical season b/c that's just my luck.

Were hungry? That's discouraging. No wonder we collapsed down the stretch last year. :shifty:

Try to use your imagination for once and add just one more game to our 0.500 record. it's not that hard.

I'm really interested in seeing if/how you change if the Dolphins 1) end with at least 9 wins, or 2) make the playoffs. Will you simply say nothing? Become more optimistic? Or find something else to always find fault in?

Not sure, and it will be interesting to see.

I think this is the most talented team the Dolphins have had in the past decade. I just think the OL, the LB corp and the secondary remain areas of concern entering the season.

I see the defense as a middle of the pack defense, even with Suh. The two guard positions and the health of Alberts could mean the OL issues will take at least one more draft to resolve the issues with this unit.

Hopefully these units will play better than expected and the team will make a legitimate run at the playoffs. Of course my biggest concern going into he season is Philbin and his ability as an NFL head coach. I just think he is a below average HC and he will be the reason this team once again fails to make the playoffs in 2015.

At least with his exit after the season, we can just hope that Ross will hire a big upgrade as the next head coach and starting in 2016 the Dolphins will begin their run as a consistent playoff team once again.

I can imagine the team doing anything, going 19-0, who gives a ****, it doesn't really matter, the reality is in 6 years we haven't once even been able to complete the simple task of winning more games than we lose, a feat matched only by the Raiders, Rams, Jags and Browns...that's the company we keep.... how about we crawl before we try to run.

Also, that was a weak *** "stat" you pulled there.

I'll say it again...critic, not fan. It's really that simple. Just read his stuff in that context and it all makes sense.

Addendum: he'd be all rainbows and sunshine had we drafted Gordon though...what does that tell you?

You always aim for the top. They said they're hungry for the superbowl, not that they guarantee it.

With your kind of logic it's like forming a band and aspiring to play the dive bar at the end of the block instead of the Enormo Dome.

What's worse, is if Tannehill was asked if they were hungry to win a SB, and he said no, LB would be on here blasting him for not wanting it bad enough.

Always live hearing positive things about Tannehill, but at this point I'm more concerned with the offensive line. Tannehill is going to be taking an awful lot of hits if Albert isn't ready. Even if he is from a health standpoint, the lack of strength and conditioning still gives reason to be concerned.

This offensive is talented AF, and the oline might ruin it again.

Yep, and I wish the Colts were still in our division as well...And we can win the east this year and go much deeper, even all the way is not impossible..depends how solid they all practice and play, and a deep desire to be champs. Hickey had a great off season and he and Tannenbaum seemed to gel well..We were able to bring in allot of good hardworking players who performed in college, so we are getting stronger even with our backups...if we can get the luck of staying healthy..especially our offensive line, and of course Tannehill has to stay healthy, then I really think that we could get there and win it all. Why not Us?
