Wow, those are some harsh statements from our competitors but some of it is very true..We(Ryan) has to find a way and start putting it to our division rivals...let's have a 6-0, 5-1 type year and go undefeated at home..that would put us at 11-0, or 10-1 with 5 other games that if we can split would be awesome..We have to start defending our turf!

The points they bring up have some merit, but I wouldn't put too much stock in what they say. Keep in mind they're writers/reporters, not employees of our competitors, and I think you know of some writers/reporters for the Dolphins whose opinions you wouldn't put too much stock in either. Actually it's funny if you google them, especially Mike Rodak. Tons of Bills fans seem to hate him because he is so negative towards the Bills haha!

First off, the moron is using QBR (ESPN's made-up BS statistic) as his measuring stick, so that should tell you all you need to know.

Beefalo Jills guy: "Becoming a successful quarterback requires bringing your team to the playoffs, and Tannehill hasn't done that in three seasons in Miami." I guess the rest of the team doesn't matter...sounds about right...then goes on to say, "To make the playoffs, teams must win division games, and Tannehill hasn't done that."

    Okay...so ya...Tannehill is the WHOLE team...got it.

So tired of that fkng narrative...they need to make the damn playoffs this year to shut that kinda sh*t up...

"Partly because of a shaky offensive line"...LOL...shaky....

He is right about them needing to do better against the division though...we finally have the needle going the right way with Buffalo, then Sexy Rexy comes to town...and that team is STACKED save QB. Cassell's on the verge of being cut, and it's looking like EJ will be the guy. That said, I worry more about Jills games than Cheatriots games.

I usually don't take these hate posts by the media very seriously, but Mike Rodak is full of contradictions... Reading his paragraph annoyed the **** out of me.

1). Winning games and making the playoffs is a team effort. He understands that and says as much. Then suggest that Tannehill isn't winning these games... Huh? Let's come back to reality. With Drew Brees, who's regularly competing for the QB triple crown (TD's, Completion %, and Yards), the Saints have missed the playoffs 2/3 years. With a couple of 7-9 records. Tannehill isn't Drew Brees, but even all-time great QB's miss the playoffs when their team isn't up to par.

2). MR references Tannehill's record vs. the Bills. The Bills have had one of nastiest defenses in the NFL these last few years. Struggling against that defense isn't shameful. Aaron Rodgers, the best QB in the NFL, threw his season total worth of picks against them, IRRC. Rodgers got his *** kicked all day. And I like how he references Tannehill's "shaky" offensive lines... Yeah, that's putting it mildly. In terms of pass blocking, Miami has ranked at the bottom of the league for two years running. And Buffalo has arguably the best Dline in the NFL. It's a recipe for disaster.

3). MR goes on to say that locking up Tannehill long term was mistake, despite their not being ANY better options. How was it a mistake? If you can't replace the guy with a better option, don't you have to try and keep him? What's the alternative? Tank the season? And we're talking about a 26 years old, entering his 5th year of starting QB (since college), and has continually improved despite dealing with as much adversity as any young QB in the NFL over the last five years... You don't have to be sold on Tannehill becoming a top 5 QB to understand signing him long-term was the ONLY option. And even then, MR doesn't quite get that NFL contracts aren't entirely guaranteed and Miami can get out of in the long term if Tannehill proves "unworthy."

4). Buffalo, their fans, their media, WISH Ryan Tannehill was a Bill. Put it this way, the media would be calling Buffalo a super bowl contender with Ryan under center.

I think Rich Camri was probably the most fair. Is Tannehill worthy? Yes. Is Tannehill an undoubted Franchise QB? Not yet. I disagree about waiting to pay Tannehill. A year from now, he'd still command the same money at worst. At best, he's getting even more ala Joe Flacco. So why not lock him up for as cheap as you can get him, knowing that you can't let him go anyway? I just understand the logic people are using regarding this subject. He also mentions that Tannehill gets rattled when facing lots of pressure. Yeah, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, etc... All get rattled when facing constant pressure. The difference is, Tannehill's career has been behind nothing but poor pass blocking. Which gives the false impression that he's got a problem in the way he handles it. I've never once seen signs of Jim "Chris" Everett from him.

ANYONE involved with the Buffalo Bills should just STFU about quarterbacks for the time being.

The Pats and Jets writers were fair. Pats probably too nice (I think he's channeling Belichick here). The Bills guy - ridiculous. And a stupid stat. The Bills had arguably some of their best games of the year in the past couple of seasons against Miami.

But Cimini is pretty fair. I think he is correct about Tanne not handling pressure well. Yes, other QBs with pressure don't do too well, but I think the difference is that either they scramble out of it better than Ryan, or they are able to side step and get a pass off better.

One key for Ryan - and I hope Lazor recognizes this - is running the read option. I noticed last year that when RT was running that it seemed to make him more at ease under pressure in the pocket. Which makes sense as running the ball gets him "physically" in the game a bit more and he becomes more physical in the pocket.

But, anyone who says this was not the right move for Miami just doesn't know how hard it is to find a decent QB. The Bills - and this goofball - may eventually figure that out if E.J. Manuel doesn't pan out.

Seemed that way. At season's end, RT was the 7th best QB in the league under pressure, completing 54% of his passes for 7 TDs and 4 INTs. I'd be curious to see if that line improved when associated with games he was more successful running in...I just know the raw stats.

I'm not sure anyone associated with either the Bills or Jets are qualified to make statements about any teams Quarterbacks.
