I think the knicks take Winslow at 4 if the big 3 are gone. Personally I have him as my 3rd rated player in the draft abd imo his upside is Scottie Pippen with a likelihood he will be Kawhi Leonard-like

Can't believe Portland traded Batum. Might lose Wes, Batum, and Aldridge. Maybe they think they can get Love.

I think Lillard is gonna get exposed.

I'm buying Sec over this but still interesting -

@IraHeatBeat: Contrary to earlier word, currently no meeting scheduled between Wade and Heat, source close to situation says. http://t.co/S6BkKtVYXW

If you think Wade would be a 4th option on your team, you don;t know D-Wade. Guy had numbers as good as Kyrie and he can spell "defense". Wade has a massive Ego.

Personally..he's great, but he would make your offense look like a clown show.

    Been doing some "film work".

I gotta say...it's awful what I heard about Justise Winslow killing all those hookers in a crack fueled rage in a ISIS training camp.

The pun he made thereafter about justice being served was even worse than the crime itself.

I'm all pumped up for tomorrow now. Good draft chat in here, nice takes on the Heat options. Hopefully this time tomorrow the team will be improved!

Looks like Lakers are gonna get Boogie.

Kobe, Boogie, Swaggy P, and Byron Scott running the show. What can possibly go wrong?

Chad Ford saying he thinks Charlotte takes Kaminsky now after the trade. I like Kaminsky, but I think that's good news because it means no Booker or Johnson. It looks pretty likely that one of those 2 will be there at 10.

Trading the 10th pick to shed salary would be a horrible move. I really hope that's not true.

    It's also complete bull****.

The 10th pick this year makes $1.95 to $2.15 Million in the first year per the Rookie Wage scale, which happens to be LOWER than the NBA league average salary.

Swaggy P would have to be moved. If they are bringing in Cousins, they need to find themselves more money for another move (depending on what is going out, i.e. Randle).

Kobe is gone after next season which means the face of the Lakers is Demarcus Cousins. Which is a sobering thought, to say the least.

    Unless another shoe drops.

Did you ever stop for a second, get of your high horse and think that he might, just might be trolling cavs and not you? Nah, of course you didn't that doesn't fit your narrative.

Listen Wade might leave, he even might leave to go to Cavs (super unlikely) and even if he does that, he is still the ****ing man in this town (to me at least) it will be clear that it's not about the money, but whatever.

I am just saying, why can't it be both? Why can't Wade be serious about leaving, which I think he is btw if he doesnt get paid, and why can't he troll the Cavs in the process?

Aldridge is staying put imo unless he somehow finds his way to Cleveland. I still think LeBron finds a way to make that happen if that's who he wants. Sign and trade Love for Lamarcus and maybe throw in a sweetener like Dellavedouchebag.

Theres no way for him to sign in Cleveland though lol he will demand a max contract. With Varejao Lebron Kyrie eating up space, and apparently a verbal agreement between JR and the Cavaliers, Lamarcus going there isnt possible especially when they still have Tristan to squeeze in.

Yeah Cavs can't sign him and sign-and-trades are gone after the last CBA, right?

Something everyone seems to miss on the Cavs is that they don't have cap space. If Love leaves, they still don't have cap space. If Tristan Thompson leaves? Still no cap space. Any scenarios that involve the Cavs signing someone for more than $3.4mil is just not gonna happen.

Random question - why has there been SO MUCH media coverage of Love's free agency and almost none for Aldridge? LMA has been pretty open that leaving was a possibility. Do people just consider Love that much better?

Sacramento trying to trade back from the sixth pick... I dont know what we can offer though that they would be interested in...

I honestly dont want to let go of McRoberts... I think he would be a great rotation player...But McRoberts, Bird and our pick for the sixth?

That is the best offer we have, i dont know if they would want that. Theyre looking to trade back but theyre not going to take in scrubs, they will want players that can play.

Welcome to the real world? How many people here would sacrifice money for the company the work for?

The reality is that this was inevitable. Wade is going to be overpaid, and as a Heat fan, I don't want the Heat to be the team doing that.

I think theyre combining their sixth pick with Rudy Gay's contract though and we arent going to take in that horrendous contract. Not sure why Sacramento gave him that contract and now theyre regretting it.

With his uncommon good agility and speed at that height and wingspan, I really disagree with this. The thing I would note is his steadily rising free throw percentage over the last three years. That shows that the idea of him having an improving mid range jumper is not just lip service. And around the rim, he's a demon because of that height and agility, jumping ability.

The latter is something that stands out on tape. When he goes up, sometimes the top of his head almost brushes the rim. For a guy that is about 7'1" to me that's amazing. I expect a 6'7" guy could have the kind of ups it takes to do that (LeBron being one, but the Heat had a Summer League guy that could do it as well). But the higher you go in height, usually these guys get much less athletic and they don't necessarily play as above the rim as you'd think for being a seven footer.

EDIT: Just perusing through some of the profiles on DraftXpress, WCS's no-step vertical is at 31.0" and his max vertical is 37.0". That's pretty fantastic for a 7'1" guy. Karl Towns is 7'0" and some consider him the best prospect in the draft, his standing vert is 29.0". Bobby Portis is 6'11" and his no-step vert is 25.0". Sam Dekker is 6'9" and his standing vert is 25.5". Everyone talks about Kelly Oubre's potential because of his athleticism, his no-step vert is 34.5" at 6'7" height but his max vert is 37.0" the same as WCS's but with 6 inches less height. That pretty much tells the story right there.

I'm with you. I don't think Wade is the one acting immaturely or unprofessionally. I think we just are seeing fans still upset with LeBron to the point they can't fathom Wade still having a good relationship with him to where he's entertained by the notion of joining LeBron again, while simultaneously still considering himself a Heat lifer, AND being a responsible business man. He's being all three at the same time because he's human like the rest of us. But I guess that translates to being a "me me me" guy, and having die hards basically write him off after everything he's done for the Heat. To me that's more upsetting than the thought of him ending up on a different team because of a contract impasse.

Is the NBA Media this stupid? All of them get used by agents to spew such nonsense?

ALL OF THEM get a packet from the NBA that explains the CBA. (I posted one of the pieces they get) and NONE OF THEM READ IT..evidently.

You referring to the Aldridge stuff?

I think SA actually has a max slot if Ginobli retires and they renounce a few other FAs. Not sure about Dallas and Houston definitely doesn't, though Marc Stein dutifully threw them in the mix

Most Lakers fans have embraced the rebuild. Julius Randle has looked great from all reports, in Summer workouts. Jordan Clarkson was a nice surprise and ended up on the All-Rookie First Team. You get another piece like Okafor, and I think The Lakers have a solid core of three, young players to build with.

Cousins is young and proven (to a degree) but I can't see him shouldering the burden of being the face of the Lakers. D'Angelo Russell has the attitude and ability to do it, but drafting him means you then HAVE to go get another big, which means Randle probably goes bye-bye. The scenarios just don't line up for me.

in related news, Lakers are letting Ed Davis walk. I liked his game last year (from the little amount of B-Ball I watched) and he is a solid addition to any team.

Is it possible he develops an offensive game? Sure. Is it a logical projection right now? No. That is why he could fall tonight. When I talked about the potential of those wings, I was talking about what the experts are projecting them to do. When you look at the player projections/comparisons for the wings Miami is looking at, you see Stanley Johnson - Kawhi Leonard/Ron Artest; Devin Booker - Klay Thompson; Sam Dekker - Gordon Heyward. Those are the pro comparisons from nbadraft.net and you will see similar ones from reputable draft sites that scout these guys. WCS's comparison is Chris Anderson/Samuel Dalembert. For me, I'd rather a wing who is projected to be an average to above average starter on a team that badly needs wing help over a guy who is projected to be a great defensive player, but limited offensive player at a position of strength for Miami right now.

i dont care if Wade stays or goes, unlike many fans that still think Wade is a superstar caliber player. his little games are unprofessional and if he wants to get paid he should just let henry Thomas do the talking. This franchise isnt going to fall apart if Wade goes to another team. In 2010 it could have fell apart. But today we are fine with or without him. He doesnt owe us anything and I dont think we owe him anything other than his jersey retired and his statue.
