Alright thephins.comians, who is your favorite NFL team after the Miami Dolphins? I lived in Minnesota for one year before moving to Pembroke Pines Florida where I became a diehard Dolfan. So I've always had a minor soft spot for the Minnesota Vikings. Though in any year, after the Dolphins are eliminated, I wind up picking a new team to root for in the playoffs. I'm not even sure myself if I have second favorite, because even with the Dolphins being craptastic over the last few years I haven't found any solace in rooting for another team. Though the Giants winning last year's Super Bowl was about as good as it comes when rooting for another team. I left it open for multiple votes in case you couldn't decide between a couple of teams. And if you have no second team, and you really shouldn't, please explain your answer.
There are teams I have affinity for, but I wouldn't call myself a fan of any, and they certainly would not preempt a Fins game. Those teams are the Cardinals, Panthers, Saints, Bengals, Lions, Vikings, and depending on my mood the Chargers.
Wow. I've often had an affinity for the Panthers, Saints, Vikings as I mentioned, and the Chargers after Marty became the coach, they drafted Phillip Rivers, they were the best threat to NE many times, LT is fun to watch, and then Chambers became a Charger, they have been the team I've rooted for come playoff time. Be sure to vote.
I tend to agree. I know a good many people with multiple favorite teams, and it irritates me to no end. You have to suffer with your team in order to appreciate the good times. I pick the Vikings, but they are a distant, distant, distant second.
In reality, one can only have 1 "favorite" team. They may have others they "like" or "follow" but having more than one favorite is simply not possible
No can do, because I only have one favorite team. These are just teams I keep up with for a variety of reasons; maybe I like some of the players on the roster, or they're going about rebuilding in a different way than we are, or I want to see how a certain offense or defense performs. For example, I almost tossed the Chiefs on the list because of Glenn Dorsey alone.
Not really a fan of another team,but I have a story anyway. I grew up close to Giants Stadium and watched it get built.When the Giants moved in there,there was a certain excitement that a NFL team was coming to N.J. Most of my family already liked the Giants back in the day anyway,so them being in our backyard made it more special to them.They were some of the first people to get season tickets in the new stadium. My cousins used to bring me to most of the games,and no kid would say no to a football game.So I went. I've been a Dolphins fan before the Giants were here and my cousins tried hard to convert me,but they could'nt. I do like like the Giants because of my relatives and the great times I had watching them.But I am a believer in the theory that if you have a favorite(singular) team,it is "YOUR" team and there are'nt any second favorite(s).
I'm first and foremost a Dolphins fan (obviously), but there are teams I find myself pulling for. I live in Kansas, so it's hard not to be a KC Chiefs fan. The atmosphere at Arrowhead is pretty awesome. I was a pretty big Bucs fan when they had that ridiculous defense (Sapp, Rice, Brooks, Lynch, Barber), but Gruden has destroyed that team - the whole Chris Simms debacle (and I don't like Simms) just seems petty. Other than that, whichever team is playing the Pats that week is my team too.
I'm not really a fan of another team but I always find myself rooting for the Indianapolis Colts so yeah I guess they're my second favorite team.
Anybody whose playing the Jets or Patriots! I tend to follow Green Bays results purely as a fan of Brett Favre (prior to all this retiring/playing saga!)
I've never thought about it lol. I can't really say since the Dolphins have been the best to me since I started watching football in '01. I came from overseas so that didn't help either since they don't have a NFL team in Bosna LOL.
I pull for Indy some and, of course, right now, the Giants are up there. But there's never been a team for me, but, the Dolphins. I am going to pull for JT and Zach tho'.
Born a Dolfan, and will die a Dolfan... I can't/won't root for any other team, but will pull for certain individual players I like...Zach and Jason will of course be among that list next season.
I have a few but frankly those change. Since I like to follow the draft I end up with players I root for. I'll watch more of their games and root for them and the teams they're on. Currently I like SD b/c of Rivers but in reality I'm more of a fan of Rivers than I am of the Chargers.
In baseball I have a main team (the Phillies) and a 2nd favorite (Colorado Rockies) mainly because I live in Colorado and they are on TV all the time, but in football I can only cheer for the Miami Dolphins.
