I saw a post on Facebook and one of you was OK with feeding your dogs drugs and thought it was funny. I am just wondering who else feels the same?

Drug guy Cool story bro. Talk to someone who really gives a **** what a dude who posts animal memes all day thinks

Other guy posting an animal meme and letting your dog get drugs out of your backpack, that your mother made, and then had to take to the vet are in a whole, two entirely different things, if you can't fathom the god dam difference, then you do not deserve to own a pet.

by the way genius, two different Brians.

The discussion was you and I, and I never said it was okay. It was a complete accident and obviously cared enough to take it to the vet. Looking back on the situation it's funny to me, not the fact he got high.

Where I live there was a community dog who has since passed. Someone fed it brownies. That dog suffered that night and almost died. Nothing should have to go through that without a choice. That's just not funny at all. There's a responsibility when a living animal is in your care to keep it safe. That dog suffered tremendously and the memory should only serve to remind you that you ****ed up and almost killed your dog. At best this borders on criminal negligence.

had two dogs that ripped into my backpack about 15 years ago. Tore open a bottle of 100 vicodins. luckily, since they have no flavor or smell, they left them alone on the floor. definitely would have killed them due to all that tylenol

One can argue that the only reasons an animal should be given a drug are to treat a health condition or to euthanize it. Animals probably don't have the consciousness required to enjoy a seriously altered state of mind. They can only feel confusion and panic because of an impairment they don't understand. Leave it at catnip once in a while for your cat.

I just watched a youtube video of a dog (posted on my facebook) that got high as **** after finding pot brownies. Dog's eyes were wide and tongue was just hanging out. The video was amusing to me, only because...

A). The owners cared about the dog, as they expressed concern for his well being during the video.
B). Responsible enough to get in touch with the vet and figure out the proper procedure for helping the dog.
C). The dog turned out just fine and is currently happy and healthy.

Had either A, B, or C not occurred, I wouldn't have thought the video to be amusing. I would of been upset at the clear neglect and animal cruelty. But the situation was handled as best as it could be, and since everything turned out OK, I can see the humor in it. It's like bone crushing hits in the NFL. I love watching them when I know the guy was OK after. I hate watching them knowing the guy got hurt. Not as fun.

Judging by the conversation, it seems like King Felix (if I'm following this thread correctly) wasn't trying to be neglectful or cruel. It was an accident. An accident, that luckily didn't turn out to have negative consequences (Dog's death). If the dog is happy and healthy, I understand looking back upon it with a laugh. Don't we all take stressful or bad situations and try to look back on them with a sense of humor? At least, I do...

I don't know King Felix to say that's what is happening here, but it seems like it from the text. Some of his more pointed responses seem lost in translation. McLovin seemed to think responses like, "he lived" demonstrate a lack of concern for the dog, but I read it as King Felix being sensitive to the criticism, and pointing out the end result was no harm no foul, in a blunt, matter of fact manner. Almost as if to say, "Everything turned out OK, so **** off" as oppose to McLovin's interpretation of it as, "Everything turned out OK, who cares?"

The only thing that does concern me, is McLovin (again, if I'm following correctly) replying to KF, in quotes, "We feed it drugs as a family." I have no idea where that quote came from (as KF never said that in the text above) or the context, but I hope this dog isn't being given drugs for entertainment or amusement. That I would have an issue with. But again, I have no understanding or context of that quote, but it stood out to me and has me wondering if there's more to this situation than just the above text.

    My .02 cents.

    Nailed it 100%

McLovin was trolling with the we feed our dog drugs. My mom is staunchly anti-weed. I love my dog to death and seeing what happened was something I would never intentionally do. The fact he even got into my backpack means several things went wrong because he never has access to my backpack.
