http://raylehnhoff.github.io/nflschedulepicker/ For years, I've been picking every NFL game before the season. I don't feel that randomly saying that team X seems like 6-10, or team Z feels like 9-7 is good enough, because there are a finite number of wins and losses in a given NFL season. What I've done is print out each week of the season, and then use a highliter to pick the winner, based on how I feel about the two teams, who is at home, and what that team had the previous week (opponent, home/away/bye). I then use these as my predictions. This is of course a little cumbersome, so I was excited when I found a link to a site that allows you to pick every game of the NFL season and keeps track of all of the results! I wanted to share it with anyone else who had an interest in keeping predictions as realistic as possible.
It's useful for working out scenarios. You don't have to pick all games before the season to do that. In fact, it's mostly useful later in the season.
Because its fun and interesting. Lots of people, both fans and media outlets, will make predictions on how the final standings will end up. If you're going to do that, why not be thorough?
Fun toy, if my scenario is right that last game at home vs. the pats will be rocking! 4 Miami 11-5 6 New England 10-6 Buffalo 10-6 Jets 4-12
Thank you...I will check it out and play around with it...Lol you, I tend to do it when the complete schedule comes out in the newspaper, this will be much easier.. I did pretty good last year.
Went through it. Think it comes down to the final game vs the Pats. I think that game is for the div title, and the loser goes home... not even a wildcard berth for second place in the division this year.
Got some results I didn't expect.. Miami winning the division and the 3rd seed, Buffalo with the 6th seed, NE out of the playoffs with a 9-7 record. The last game was the deciding factor, winner takes the division, loser misses the playoffs... Good thing we play at home, we've beaten the Pats the last 2 seasons in Miami. We'd play the Bills in the Wildcard round.
I was under the impression is was about picking every teams games, ours I can totally understand...which it is, I just got mixed up, I see the angle now, your trying to go thru the games, then the computer spits out a playoff scenario..
I have us as the 6th seed slipping in at 10-6. This was an awesome picker! Also thing that came out of my picker were that the AFC South is stupid weak past the colts. The NFC should be a lot more competitive this year.
I realized it was an exercise in futility when I had Miami 7-0 through 8 weeks. I'll try again when I want to be realistic.
