A player I don't have a good grasp as to how good he is.

I think of all the free agent acquisitions he has the most likelihood of busting. I just don't see how a guy who had the most of his production come on perfectly thrown deep balls from Drew Brees is going to thrive in this offense. I'd love to be wrong though.

I really like Stills. He was part of the reason I was favoring Melvin Gordon over a WR in the first. I don't think he has the upside potential of Parker, but he's really good. His catch percentage is among the best in the league. He seems really natural at tracking the deep ball in flight and is at least decent at getting separation. He seems adept at running the full tree and seems to do well on contested passes. I haven't watched him enough to know how consistent his route running is and I don't see him as a dominant physical specimen in terms of size or speed (decent size and real good speed, but not a freak), but at first blush he just strikes me as a really good all-around WR with enough speed to take the top off the D.

I have been basing it on what Tannehill said about him in mini camp. He said that he loved how he moves so fast in and out of his cuts. Also he liked how looked fast no matter what route he was running. Stills wanted to show that he can run any route asked of him. So I would like to see that to get more information on him. I him though. I think he has a bright future with the team.

Watch a little closer...watch how many passes he had to slow way up for...how many he had to out-position the coverage...how many he adjusted his route to.

    There's plenty.

I'm a big fan of removing excuses from a Qb via adding talent.

Thill flames out on deep, in the air, passes again, it falls on him and means he is talented, but limited.

Would love to see it click between Stills and THill, 10 Td's do replace and a whole lot of disappointment

I think trading away Ellerbe was awesome! And a 3rd for Stills is easily worth it.

But there were some details of the trade that came out after the initial reports and it turns out we agreed to pay $3.6 million extra (in a pre-trade contract negotiation) raising the dead money to $7.8 mil instead of $4.2 mil, meaning we saved only $2.1 mil in cap space, not the $5.7 mil that article is referring to.

I still think this was a great trade though.. anything to get Ellerbe out! I love it when a FO can admit to a mistake instead of doubling down on a bad move (and replacing Wallace with a MUCH cheaper version, even if he turns out not to be as great, was a very good move).
