Miami Dolphins @MiamiDolphins We have placed S Don Jones and WR DeVante Parker on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list. Miami Dolphins @MiamiDolphins We have also placed tight end Gerell Robinson on the Active/Non-Football Injury list.
Lame. Still love the Parker pick, even if he starts the year on the PUP which he may or may not, he's well worth the wait.
Lid rather have him healthy too, but I am disappointed. It's seems the Fins always draft players that can't start the season and then have extended injuries and never see the field. Hope to God this is not the case with Parker
Why is this 'oh no'? We've known for weeks this was a likely scenario, and it doesn't prevent any of them from being ready to play Week 1.
Exactly. I don't see the big deal here. We basically knew this was the case when his surgery was reported.
This PUP list isn't for the regular season, it's for training camp. Parker should still be ready to go in D.C.
Oh no because all along we've been told he should be ready for game 1 and now he's lost for the first 6. And it seems this happens every year to us with an important draft pick. That's why. It's an "oh no" for me because we've been down this road many times.
He is not lost for the fist six games. There is a different PUP list between pre-season and regular season. Anyone on the active/PUP list can be re-activated at ANY time before the regular season.
Harley's prolly offline, walking around pissed off because he thinks our first round pick is gonna miss half a season.lol
Dear God please change the thread title, I immediately thought this was going to be much worse, like Tannehill or Suh hurt worse
We should expect, though, if he doesn't see any time on the field during the pre-season then he won't be starting on the opener. The good thing is we open with the Redskins and then face the Jaguars, so we shouldn't 'need' him and he could be getting up to speed from week to week. Week 3 sees us hosting the Bills. Then again, if we find ourselves trouncing the Skins or Jags he could be introduced casually.
Ok guys, my bad. Yes I was on the bike for a while LOL but yeah, I thought it was the usual PUP list where he's lost for 6 games. My bad, sorry for the confusion
You're correct. The uneasy feeling in our collective stomach is we've had such terrible luck with this before - e.g., Yatil Green.
no big deal... we have the receiving stable to win without relaying on an injured rookie. let him heal & develop at his own pace.
He still projects back for week 1. I really want to see this guy on the field but even if it takes a week or two longer, I am really not worried. We need to take the long view on this, don't rush him back cause we are impatient to see him. We have plenty of depth at receiver right now and would be ok without him.
you can go back to worrying, hyde says there are some whispers saying he might be put on the real pup.
