As it turns out, I will be dining on Chipotle tonight as I watch the Cubs attempt to drub the Brewers for a third straight evening.
Agreed. There's at least 4 good ones within a 30-min drive of here that are 10x better than Chipotle, Moe's, or any other high-priced franchise Tex-Mex burrito restaurant. I'd much rather support any of the madre y padre places- you tend to get better service, better food and more of it(and sometimes free! ) But, like you said, not everyone has places like this near them........or they haven't bothered to look.
Hah! Those are the best ones! We have one here in G'ville called La Tienda that's near a popular hooker hangout. Can't say I've tried the fish tacos yet, though. (Or ever will, for that matter. )
La Bamba is the best Mom & Pop type place in Springfield. "Burritos as big as your head!" But I've heard good things about Chipotle, so when i learned we'd just had one put in, I had to try it.
Unfortunately for me NY has a dearth of even decent mexican restaurants. To eat good food I would have to go out to Sunset Park or all the way to Queens which is sometimes not what you want to do. I like Chipotle, the meat is decent, the rice is good, the beans are ok, their salsas are ok. And it is there. Which is an important thing.
Chipotle is awesome. for awhile I ate at Moes but the Guacamole at chipotle is better, as is the rice. I've never heard of Tijuana Flats, will have to look it up
I havent had the barbacoa actually. Love the steak, chicken is good when it isnt dry and the carnitas isnt bad. Maybe I'll give the barbacoa a try next time I stop by.
i was never a burrito eater, and i never thought i would like rice in my burrito but i loved it when i had chipotle...i dont like corn or tomotos so i useally get a half chicken half steak with rice, no beans, and hot sauce and cheese, sometimes lettuce...The burrito i get is relativity small compared to others but its so good...and they have great chips...
I love the barbacoa with their hot sauce. rice, black beans, barbacoa meat, with lettuce, cheese and hot sauce. WOOOOHOOOO.
if anybody is ever in melbourne beach, you must check out burrito beach. good stuff. dude smokes the pork, brisket, and chicken that he uses for the burritos.
here we have some good burrito joints rafas burrito house, bonnys cafe, anita the burrito lady just to name a few. All are pretty good though I prefer rafas, but most prefer anitas. Anyways its liek 2 dollars for a foot long burrito. Good **** too.
