He is truly stepping up this year. His leadership has improved and the players recognize that. It's all coming together!!
The O-line is a moot point until we see games. I mean honestly, is anyone going to change their mind about our Guard situation based on camp snaps? I know I'm not. C'mon preseason!!!
I would like for them to sign Mathis and I'm hoping Douglas wins a spot. However, if Albert isn't ready or he doesn't make it through the season, everything else will be moot because the OL will be screwed. So much rides on him being healthy.
His leadership was never really in question. He was basically making the same remarks after getting flattened like a pancake week after week in '13.
I keep hearing about how Albert is needed on the OL and whatnot, yet I haven't heard about Jason Fox getting beat. I think this dependence on Albert is a bit overblown.. If Jason Fox can play better than Ja'wuan James at LT last season and James can play better than Dallas Thomas and whoever else was at RT, I don't think we'll have a problem with the tackles at all, even without Albert.
well he should be http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000506674/article/inside-training-camp-live-whispers Casserly identified some high notes from Dolphins' practice (Tannehill, Suh), but was concerned OL Branden Albert, who tore his ACL and MCL in Week 10 last season, was not practicing. "They absolutely need him to make their offensive line effective. Without him, this team will struggle on offense," Casserly reported. Candidates to work in place of Albert include Billy Turner, who Casserly liked on Wednesday, as well as Dallas Thomas, Jamil Douglas and Jeff Linkenbach.
Ya I'm pretty much of the opinion he's a decent stop-gap until Albert's full speed. Besides the Jills and possibly the Jests early on, he'd have a rough go against the Texans...but BA should be back by then. He was actually practicing today, so that's a good sign.
