He was behind five other TE's on the Dolphins roster. They might use him to find out information on the Dolphins, but since he wasn't able to grasp the offense while he was with the Dolphins, I doubt if any information they get from him will be much help them when the teams play in London.
You have to wonder how this tactic works. Do the players really think that they gain job security by spilling the beans? The only way players don't get cut is if they're good. A bit of honour would be nice, on all sides. Then again, maybe no-one spills, but teams try it on anyway?
I hope the Jets are that dumb. Using a roster spot to gain info on a team they don't play for 8 weeks.
I'd like to think Todd Bowles is better than that. I have a decent amount of respect for him as a coach.
I don't think Bowles is the right guy for that bunch. He makes Tony Dungy look intense. I think he will struggle in a Philbin sort of way, until he gets enough of "his" type of players. If he lasts that long.
There is absolutely no doubt that its an attempt to get info on the Dolphins team. After they get it these players will be cut.One has to wonder if moralistic Philbin would do the same thing. http://miamiherald.typepad.com/sports-buzz/
