Tannehill, Ryan [175]+ Wake, Cameron [310]- Yawn. This is pointless. The obsession with Cam Wake around here is ridiculous. he's great, sure, but this teams fans have been clamouring for a QB for how many years now? How much abuse has Ryan taken from fans, and opposing teams the last few years? He's still growing, progressing, and playing well while taking a beating behind one of the leagues worst OLs, and probably will be one of the leagues worst again this season. Yet nobody considers this guy the ultimate team survivor? Yikes... the unhealthy obsession with Wake and his "dong" around here is pretty creepy really. Just sayin'
What never happens? Predicting the final outcome? How about you talk directly to me when you quote me... So many disrespectful posters around here.
You're missing the backstory. Awhile back I said I was sick of posters saying next year Tannehill will deserve it, or next year he'll win it all, etc. Dupree said it has never happened. Your quote was just another example that proved him wrong. That's why I was addressing Dupree using your quote. Sorry to offend you.
My question is, where is his accolades? Seems like you just want us to 'give' him survivor, like out of pity, whereas, I want Tanne to 'take' it on his own merits by doing/earning something of significance.
Ok, thanks for explaining that, but you act like Tannehill is owe'd something. 80.5 QBR in the 4th quarter in 2014. Tannehill is potential and Wake is proven that's the only way I can see it right now. Some people saw the defense collapse on the last drive(s) of too many games last year, that Tannehill's lack of production in the 4th quarter has seemingly been forgotten. If you're gonna blame Wake for not leading the defense at key moments, you have to do the same thing to Ryan and the offense. Neither side was doing their job in the 4th in 2014, and that's a big reason it was another mediocre season.
4,000 plus yards, 27 TDs, 12 INTs for a 2.25 TD/INT ratio not good enough for you? With 300 + yards rushing and a score to top it all off? He's improved significantly every year he's been in the league and is just scratching the surface. He had his best season in the NFL with a brand new offensive coordinator last year. He has played behind makeshift lines, at times an almost nonexistent running game, and others only mediocre talent at the WR position. He is ascending the ranks in the most important position in the game. He means everything to the success or failure of this team. He is the first franchise QB we have had since #13. He is young and Miami just made a long term investment in him. He will be the face of this franchise for the next 10 + years. Shall I go on?
I know I'm not going to convince you guys. At this point I'm lobbying for the undecided votes, or new members.
Please go on if theres ACCOLADES... Where are they? You know, the awards? Was he an All Pro? Was he second team? Was he on NFL top 100? Was he a league leader in any statistical category...ever? Shall I go on?
Tannehill, Ryan [173] ++ Wake, Cameron [312] -- What really amazes me in all of this, there's more people obsessed with Wake's junk that have nothing better to do than come here every two hours to vote than there are people who support the player at the most important position on the team. At some point, I'm hoping you people will realize the mistake you're making and change your votes.
Everyone has their reasons hombre. Yours is to Vote RT17 because you feel we need to support the QB, mine is Vote Wake because he has a lot more career accolades/awards than RT17. Not everyone is voting Wake because of his dong, brotha.
If those are your criteria, great. Again, this is 2015 Survivor. So if you want to vote on the past, you certainly can. I'm voting on this year. And when you follow the trajectory of Ryan Tannehill's shooting star, he will receive plenty of accolades this year.
Same can be said for Wake, my man. He might be in store for his best season YET lining up next to Suh, just saying.
