How his physical play? He was consistently getting 6-8 yards each time he ran the ball.

I couldn't tell how he did in receiving but I love the run game. He definitely shows promise.

What did y'all think about the guy?

I thought he looked like the second best runner on our team behind Miller. I don't know how much play he can get in the season behind Williams, but I hope he gets himself the opportunity. He is the better runner and has good hands in his own right.

Very glad to hear that he got into the game and played well. Even if his pass blocking isn't up to par yet, I see no reason why he can't be our #3 RB and pound the ball when we need it.

JTrain will make this team, too much raw talent to let him go and doubtful we could sneak him to PS.

Williams' run instincts and ability to properly read his blocks are IMO the worst among our top 5 RBs. He seems to make a couple of head scratching decisions every game. I saw more to like from Ajayi as a runner in this one game than I've ever seen from Williams.

Ajayi was decisive with his runs, even if it was just diving forward for a yard or two if nothing else was available, something that Williams doesn't do. It was frustrating to see Williams dancing in the backfield looking for a bigger play when a hole was available for positive yardage if he'd just taken it. Ajayi looked good catching the ball out the backfield too, he's clearly the 2nd best RB on the roster IMO. Didn't see any obvious blocking deficiencies from him in this game either, but that can be the only reason he's not higher up the depth chart.

Were you watching the Dolphins because he averaged 3.5 yards per rush
7 rushes for 25 yards and 2 receptions for 4 total yards

Actually no but I was going off of what I was hearing on the radio. Forgive me if I was inaccurate. I still think he did a good job with the time given to him.

He had a nice swing pass that went for 8 or so yards negated by a penalty that didn't affect the play really , and he had several decent runs where he showed decisiveness and some fierceness . He didn't blow up in a big or good way but he did look quite positive imo . He made positive yards .

I thought he showed some nerves, but also flashed a bit of decisiveness as well. I don't recall him making any mistakes in the passing game as a blocker or receiver. He's easily our most powerful back. He always seemed to move the pile or tackler forward after contact. None of our other backs have that quality so he brings a dimension we're definitely lacking. I think he could develop into a nice complement to Miller as the season progresses.

yeah saw those nerves early but there were a few flashes in the hole where he came out and I was like oh, ok, cool.

Ajayi was looking good to me. I showed a bit of quick thinking, as far as change of direction goes.

I haven't yet seen a replay of last nights game and I didn't see it live. We are busy here in Hawaii dodging one hurricane after another.
During the draft, the one player I was most excited about in the later rounds was Ajayi. I was hoping he would come in and immediately take over the number two running spot. I read on here early in training camp that he was behind the other backs and then he was out because of injury. Hopefully from what I am reading today, he is back from injury and is ready to step up his play.

I still think he can be a productive back for the Dolphins this year and hopefully he will make the final 53 man roster. I would hate to see him cut or end up on the Dolphins practice squad. Because I think another team would likely sign him as a free agent or quickly sign him off the Dolphins practice squad if they need a running back.

I think the Dolphins would regret it if they end up making Ajayi available to others NFL teams over the coming weeks. I would rather see them keep Ajayi and cut James if it comes down to these two backs and they decide to just keep three RB's on the roster.

I haven't read recently how many RB's are projected to make the final roster. Anyone have any idea what the thinking might be in Miami as to how many RB's the Dolphins might keep on their final 53 man roster?

If we cut him the cheatriots will snag him up and he will play like a pro bowler.

At least he should be fresh! Hopefully, we'll be seeing a lot of him in the 4th quarter of games very soon

Like Miller and Williams he also will be a plus in the short passing game that looks to be a key for Miami . Like that he should be fairly equal either way with the ball , and defenses won't be able to key on a run or pass play , just has to be trusted blocking now .

Yeah, those are a couple of nice runs right there. We really need that for some tough yards and to spell Lamar.

I saw enough to determine we don't really need LaMike James on the roster. With these three guys headlining it all we need is one quality young RB on the PS.

They are probably keeping 6 WR's so with all that depth and the experience of Jennings, they might as well go with Landry as the return guy. I would rather we had had legitimate game breaker doing those jobs but Landry is the best we have.

IMO James only role on the team would have been Punt Returner. I think Ajayi makes the roster before James does.

He wasn't as bad in Pass Pro as I thought he would be on Saturday. Really liked the way he ran the ball.
