No, we are paying him to decipher their signal calls, then we dump him.

 

I guess we'll see what he can do. He obviously showed that, given the chance, he can do the job against a team with a poor run D, if nothing else. Maybe he can fill the roll of power back while Ajayi is unavailable?

Gray won't be seeing the field unless a guy or two gets injured. It'll probably take a month or more just to learn the protections based on the number of reps he's likely to get. Nice pickup though. Could payoff later in the season.

 

He's good with the Lord, at least.

This guy had a 200 yard game last year didn't he? We were lucky he was injured out of Notre Dame or he'd never be on our practice squad as an UDFA. We stupidly let him go to NE, and then get him back and put him on the practice squad?

I'm shocked he wouldn't be on the active 53.

He had a 200 yard, 4 TD game against the Dolts.

 

Last year against the Colts, Jonas Gray had 201 rushing yds, and 4 TDs.

This preseason, Jonas Gray had a 55-yard touchdown run. He seems to have his speed back.
