If I was Telex, I'd be pissed that my product keeps getting crapped on because of these continual complaints and allegations. They should be out there proving their products work as expected and it's the teams doing something improper.

The big Sports Illustrated article about Pats cheating says Sun Life is also notorious for frequency problems with headsets.

    http://www.si.com/nfl/2015/09/08/patriots-cheating-suspicions-bill-belichick-tom-brady#

I just got around to reading the Sports Illustrated one. Does anyone think the 2006 Dolphins cheated? Saban is a very close friend of Bill. Before playing the Patriots he told the Dolphins staff to change their defensive calls because the Patriots will somehow get them. So he knew Bill's MO. In our 2nd meeting of 2006 we crushed the Patriots, 21-0 (it was glorious I still remember the day). Afterwards, Zach et. al. gave a weird story.

They "purchased" the tape of Brady's calls. Saban denied that, saying they just studied the TV replays of the Patriots. Zach said they knew each and every call. So where did they purchase the tapes from? How come nobody else bought these tapes. Who was selling it? Why did Saban deny any purchase of tapes? Think they cheated? I forgot about that until reading the SI article.

After more review, it's possible it was on the up and up. Charley Casserly opined on it. He actually mentioned Spygate before Spygate, so this quote is juicy.

    http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sports_football_dolphins/2006/12/stealing_signs_.html

December 2006, before anyone even knew the Patriots were filming.

We all know the Pats were caught, warned, then disciplined because they ignored the warning so Casserly comments on that here, 9 months before Spygate.

That's a pretty good article, and pretty damning for the Patriots, or at least for the perception of them cheating. Basically the article gives example after example of how teams across the league don't trust the Patriots (and take precautions they don't against other teams) because they suspect them of cheating.

Even with the example of headset failures being common at other stadiums (e.g Sun Life Stadium), it seems problems at Gillette extend far beyond that to equipment failures in general. Apparently, other teams make an exception with the Patriots and don't trust them to provide all kinds of game-time equipment they'd normally trust the home team to provide.

The thing is, they've been caught on the spygate, but the rest is innuendo and whispers. Rumors etc. The patriot spies have almost attained apparition status. Don't think Belichik doesn't think about all the teams spooked about it and each second they're focused on that, is a second away from preparing for the game. He's using the rumors to his advantage and he knows the league isn't going to really do anything about it.

Seriously, does any doubt that the patriots are using drones to spy on opposing teams practices?

These days you don't need a man at the game with a camera. Drones can fly high enough that they cannot be seen with the visible eye, yet still have a camera powerful enough to zoom in and get more than enough details.

Bill Bellichick said they had some problems throughout the whole game. That was before the NFL said the issue was remedied by halftime. That comes across as a bit cya and fibbing on BBs part.

What the Patriots did last night was a GIANT **** you to the rest of the NFL and the fans of every other NFL team. Marching out all 4 superbowl trophies on live TV, unfurling the banner. This type of stuff usually happens during halftime or commercials. When has there every been this type of nonsense before the start of a game on a televised broadcast? And then the headset nonsense. They are clearly still in the defensive huddle. Every play is just a hustled up trick play because they know exactly where the defense is (and isn't) on every play. And they only won 28-21. I stopped watching at the second half. The NFL better get this under control. If the Patriots are allowed to win another championship on the backbone of cheating, fans will start dropping like flies.

The damning stuff is taken directly from the Steelers official web site.

So very credible. They were complaining from the beginning of the game about it, so its not sour grapes because they lost.

Oh absolutely. I just meant from a more widely considered credible news source publishing it so it would get more attention, and further investigation.

Turns out they didn't turn off the Pats' headsets. They supposedly fixed the issue before they "needed" to turn off their headsets. This despite the fact there is a rule that indicates headsets should be turned off to level the playing field.

Deadspin is usually on-point with their information, or at least quick to correct it if they have bad information. I'm much more inclined to trust them than any canned response from the NFL or Pats.

Goodell is basically neutered at this point, and this screams of being a big ol' "F-U. What are you gonna do about it?" from the Pats to the league office.

Did anyone really think that the Patriots would not do something like this. They are blatantly **** slapping the rest of the League and teams when they do something like this. Yes, Karma is a *****, but I am good and ready for that karma kick in. Should the Steelers of marched their 6 Super Bowl Trophies up there. What kinda crap is this. They are a bunch of conceited jerks and I am sick of it. They are ruining the game, the fun, and by any means possible, do not let your children learn anything about their despicable ways, if at all possible.

And with this the Patriots get into the heads of every visiting team and don't have to do a single thing more to induce opponents' paranoia in every home game.

I love it that theyre putting that team on blast. That stadium needs to be investigated thoroughly. And the pattiots shouldnt get any warning when it happens. The NFL or something needs to march in there and demand to open the gates to strip the walls and ceilings and see what the hell is going on

This is sort of dropping to their level though...... I like it!

I think to combat this all teams, the NFL and Refs need to do their research. They need to get better with the rule book and look for the same loopholes and basically beat the Pats at their own game. Nothing else is working yet. Just look at the Wild-Cat game - that was a prime example of beating them at their own game.

Im now fully convinced that people blow up on Fin D just because of his name. I was literally thinking the exact same thing he said.. and its true. Your reaction to this is comical. Several fans from this board who claim to be dolphins fans yet defend the Patriots OFTEN arw the exact same people that are overly critical of tannehill. Interesting.

The joke here, of course, like other areas of the NFL, is that a billion dollar organisation can't or doesn't provide secure, decent, technology to prevent this sort of thing.

Heck, give the contract to me, I'll sort it!

That is pathetic, yes, but the joke on EVERYBODY is that they'll keep getting away with it...the NFL and Goodell are phucking neutered to the point they can't even publicly acknowledge even THINKING the Cheatriots are still at it...hell, Goodell's b*tch *** didn't even go to the FIRST GAME of the season 'cuz his p*ssy still hurts.

    Sickening, sickening, sickening.

I personally know SEVERAL current/retired senior military guys that could walk in and fix that cluster-phuck in a week's time.

    But but...revenue.

    F*ck the NFL.

When I blew up at Fin D the last 4 times (not this time), it was because of a level of intellectual dishonesty no other poster demonstrates. You can go back and check the posts to see why.

As far as this time, what caused my reaction is two things: 1) it's not true, and 2) it was unprovoked. You claim Fin D's statement is true. OK, prove it. Name the posters in each set (set of those that religiously defend the Patriots & set of posters that continuously question Tannehill). You'll see there are many posters in one set that aren't in the other. And as far as the unprovoked part, this thread had been idle for quite awhile until the Steelers "Radio-gate" started. No one that responded made any statement defending the Patriots or criticizing Tannehill. I'm not the only poster that was shocked by Fin D's statement there either.

    1) yes it is true. Not sure why you think im going to actually name drop, but you can do your own research and see Its true. I have 3 regulars just off the top of my head, man. Look it up.

    2) unprovoked? Who cares? He was just just saying an opinion. Why does he have to be provoked to say something that is nothing more than a shower-thought observation in the first place. I was thinking it before I read him say it, so obviously there has to be something more to it other than just rustling your jimmies.

    3) actually yes you WERE the only one shocked by it and blew it out of proportion. Not only did no one agree with you (aside from the 1 'thanks' your post got') the only other person who commented on it was lmeister and he was kidding. Quite obviously too.

I will say, I've been on the opposite side of the Patriots hate around here a few times...and I'm a staunch poster in regards to Tannehill. However, it does seem to be pretty obvious at this point that the Patriots are consistently attempting to circumvent the rules, whether it can be proved without a doubt that it is actually stuff being tampered with. Stuff can only pile up for so long.

Do everyone here a favor and link 1 legitimate quote of someone on this board saying tannehill is completely free of criticism. not even his biggest defenders would agree with that. Myself included. Its never been about that, yet that's what we keep hearing.

The notion that he has had pretty much the WORST offensive line in football for almost his entire career thus far is just an EXCUSE for his 'bad play'... is idiotic and not the same as saying he can and does no wrong whatsoever. Gimme a break.

Even if I accept #2 and #3, #1 is not at all true. Note first of all that none of the guys in that Tannehill thread that are being accused of not being fair on Tannehill are "religiously defending" the Patriots here. Again, list the posters and we can see.

To each their own, im not name dropping because I dont need to. They know who they are, and you have the resources to find it for yourself. At the end of the day there is a reason more than 1 person thought the same thing and heres a hint: ( its not because they dont exist.)
