He didn't hold it more than 3 seconds pretty much ever. We never got them into a situation where they needed to pass at all. They game planned us well, imo. It might have worked if not for landry.

Remains to be seen about the DL, I think so much focus has been on "Franchise Qb" that "franchise running back" is not thought of, Alfred Morris is one of the best in the league

Skins OL has two first roundeds and a second rounder and we Bill Caughllin who is the best OL coach in todays NFL.

Cousins does a good job adjusting the OL too......like I said preseason means squat but by the end of the day the phins won so.

Thank goodness for Landry, and that the D finally started to play about halfway through the second quarter. Get it cleaned up, and hopefully put some more points on the board in Jax next week.

The two flashy picks for the super bowl (Seattle and Indy) both opened this year on the road, to seemingly "lesser" opponents (St. Louis and Buffalo respectively), and both lost. You just never know. Getting a win on the road to start off the season is great, even if it were by 1 point.

Doesn't hurt me at all. Apparently it does make you defensive when the team can't hold it up though.

I can're recall a season where the team ever played well late, if they didn't start hot from the beginning, sadly. :/

Alfred Morris is probably the 2nd best running back we are going to see this year. It wasn't pretty but at least it's going to get easier against the run.

Both of their opponents were expected to be among the best defenses in the league, though, and picked as some as WC teams. We played a team universally thought of as one of the very worst in the NFL, who had just benched their starting QB.

Cousins is an upgrade from rg3 tho and you cant listen to the media etc to say a team sucks , look what happend last year people said dallas would suck..they went 12-4.

Skins where super hyped up which made it a close game. We had a good matchup I think even from readingalot on here you guys are good but are not great YET you dont have the it factor yet intill Tannihill gets to that elite level.

Other wise 8-8/10-6 this year which is good.

Just take every game step by step first..you should go 2-0 next week tho

I'd more say, they upgraded their QB...everybody knew RG3 was trash...his injury is the only thing that gave the Foreskins a chance. Cousins played some great games before, and he made a lot of nice plays today. WE didn't execute to the level I thought we should have, but it is what it is. We beat the Vegas line, can't be ALL that bad.

First you say you can't listen to the media to judge a team (which nobody here does...we watch the games, especially AFC east games -- the teams your guys will play this year). I picked Dallas to win that division in the pre-season last year...just because YOU listened to the media about 'em and got your hopes up... Then you judge our team by going off of what you read on these forums?

The Skins will be LUCKY to win ONE game against the AFC East...you better hope the Jets play down too. Best of luck to your team.

Philbin makes bone headed decisions, but some of Coyle's decisions will certainly not help Philbin
    be the coach next season.

    Thanks Redskins202!

Apparently not many are reading, but rather writing about how surprisingly tough that game was. I believe the matchup reflected a far better Skins team than the pundits suggested, and a very talented Dolphins team, that got caught off guard right out of the gate because of it.
We were very fortunate to have pulled out the win, a win that required nothing less than a clutch play.

Both teams have alot of early slop to clean up, but If I'm right, you guys should be just fine this season.

    Good game Redskins202

This is ridiculous. This whole thread griping and moaning the whole time! I have never seen so many people give up on the team in the first 28 minutes in my life. We run into a team ready to play today. Morris runs on everybody with the oline that he has. But guess what? Guess who came back and showed who the better team was? That's right, the Dolphins! I know they are my team and I bleed with them until the end. But I stayed out of the thread, and calmly watched my Dolphins adjust at the half and dominate the second half. 17 unanswered points on the road, to get the victory...the younger generation needs to learn to have more FAITH!!!!....Go DOLPHINS.

Another thing is that the Dolphins usually lose these types of games. It's great to see them finally play an entire game and win at the end.
