Oh BS. If that were anyone else, no one would have thought anything of it. Did not look like he was intending to do anything to the guy.

The only reason this is even an issue is because of his previous incidents. I looked at this play at least 10 times and I can't see anyway the league can determine he did anything wrong. He was trying to step over the player and the players helmet seemed to come off. It certainly doesn't appear there was any malicious intend on the part of Suh on the play.
If they try to suspend him or fine him for that play, all he has to do is Brady the league. In other words, take them to court to have it overturned.

Yeah, appears unintentional but his incidental footwork has pushed the odds before, and he would be wise not to expect the benefits of much doubt, moving forward.

That's pretty damn blatant, and on another planet altogether from what happened today.

Dan Patrick just put Suh on a segment called "pick 6" at halftime of cowboys/giants where they highlight six plays and they put suh's "kick"

dungy and rodney both said nothing wrong with that. patrick only one saying there was something to it. i'll take a coach and former player over someone that has never played the game even as a child.

I'm going to edit the title of the thread because I think the word "likely" is misleading... replacing it with the word "potential" as that is the word Florio used in his piece.

It's hard to give Suh the benefit of the doubt given his past, but the more I see it the more it looks accidental. Suh gets up and starts stepping in line and Morris just happens to lean in that direction slightly. Suh's leg doesn't seem to be aggressive there either like it would be if he was trying to kick him.

If anything, Suh just decided to walk away in his own path and didn't care if Morris was in his way or not.

There is no way to prove he did this intentionally, I think the league just lets this one go.

Seriously - dude can't even be flirting with stuff like that. Morris reacted like it was intentional - that tells me everything I need to know.

At best, it was a blatant disregard for the other player.

This is one of the reasons it was a stupid signing.

I do remember it actually. Only cause I rewound it though when I saw the Skins player jawing with his helmet off. It was so subtle I didn't catch it in live action.

Just cause I saw it doesn't mean I think he should be suspended though. He was just getting up and walking away. At worst it was an accident... but cause it's Suh they'll make a big deal out of nothing.

Fwiw, morris' production significantly drops off from this point in the game on. Yes our d played better but suh might have rattled him up too

I have no doubt Suh did it on purpose. Most of the **** he does like that, is purposeful. What I like about Suh, is he's very rarely blatant about his dirtiness. Stomping on that OL a few years back is the only time I recall him doing anything intentionally obvious. I don't expect any suspension whatsoever. Maybe a fine and appeal, but that's Suh's business and doesn't hurt the team.

Suh is getting more support from unbiased people than I thought he would. Figured most people would just say "It's Suh, of course it was intentional." But I see a ton of "I don't think he did anything wrong" from people without a horse in the race.

No offense, but i'd love for you to name one player in the league that would use Suh as a doormat. He is the bully of bullies, and that's why this is even getting minor attention. In fact I don't think there is a badder man in the NFL...Maybe James Harrison or Steve Smith but that's it.

They were playing different positions. Suh started at LDT and Mosley subbed for him. Mitchell started at RDT and Phillips subbed for him. Usually at the same time. You may as well say, or more directly related to Suh, say the defense was better with Mosley.

I was kind of hoping that Suh would keep just one head stomp aside for Tom Brady.

Suh will not be suspended for this or face any discipline. Got an update from ScoreMobile app on my phone, so no link.

So, can we throw the panic button into the garbage now?

wouldn't surprise me if the Redskins were looking for "opportunities" to enhance Mr. Suh's exposure and push his buttons so to speak. seems like they really keyed on him all day.

If anything pushed his buttons, it may have been getting dominated by a rookie guard most of the game. Brandon Scherff made Suh a non factor.

  35. MrClean

That's incorrect. Phillips was at RDT and Mosley was at LDT. They entered the game together toward the end of the Skins first series, and the sack came on the first snap after they entered the game.

As was mentioned earlier in this thread; the Redskins game planned very well against the Dolphins' "D". Saying Scherff dominated him is ridiculous. Suh was constantly double teamed on passing plays and was cut blocked on nearly every running play. That being said the entire defense sucked at tackling.

Looked like Suh may have punched the runner on the way down, though the kick was a little tougher to see IMO. I believe he later eye-gouged one of the linemen on a clear illegal hands-to-the-face no-call.

By the way, the rookie did not manhandle Suh. He was double-teamed pretty much all day.

Suh appears to be a volatile guy, who can be needled into some bad decisions after and during the play. One thing is for certain: He absolutely hates the anything and everyone on the other side of the football.

If you're referring to the time where the olineman's helmet was spun around by Suh, that olineman had his hands under Suh's chin pushing back. So, you know, eff that guy.

And? I wasn't a fan of Brandon Marshall either (I wanted us to trade for Vincent Jackson), but advocated AGAINST trading him. Wasn't a fan of Henne because I was a homer to Beck. I'm a fan of the Dolphins, and owe each player no loyalty. Huge free agent signings rarely work out so I'm not the biggest cheerleader for his signing. But whatever he accomplishes here to make the team win is good for me.

But wouldn't that be the crap if teams figure out they just need to double him and run the ball around him. That would suck. Hopefully it's just a fluke.
