I dunno about that, Leon Hall, David Harris, Braylon Edwards, Marlin Jackson, and Chris Perry have had some degree of immediate success barring injury. And there are a number of Michigan QB's under Carr have been Pro Bowlers at some point in their career (Brady, Griese, Grbac) though I have my doubts as to whether Henne will reach that point and the last couple of Michigan QB's have been putrid in the pros. What really puts players back when adjusting is working from a spread offense (especially those of Tedford's).

What nonsense. To extrapolate that it has to do with Michigan players is illogical as hell.

If a GM overrates a player because he went to Michigan (Or OSU or any other traditional power) thats the fault of the GM, not the player and not school.

Tom Brady certainly didn't have trouble adjusting to life in the NFL. The same can be said for countless others.

Now, if he wants to make an accurate assessment that may reflect why some of the OSU and UM players seem to underachieve, its because in the ranks of college football, the Big Ten is grossly overrated (see the last two BCSCG). Its a weak conference yet fans of the schools and many in the NCAA heirarchyand NFL GMs, refuse to acknowledge it. The SEC rules the Big Ten and thats an objective fact.

However, to suggest this reflects that UM players have a time adjusting to the NFL is absurdity.

If that's the case, it's really going to be difficult now that they're running Rich Rodriguez's offense.

Exactly, then it would be difficult but under Carr, players had a much easier time.

that article is completely bogus. Manningham is having difficulties adjusting because he is of lower than average intelligence (see: wonderlic score).

it has nothing to do with the system or the school. In fact, Michigan is probably one of the better programs for preparing collegiate athletes for the NFL.

and this is coming from a guy who hates Michigan.

I agree. My brother is a huge Saints fan and he says that Adrian Arrington, or whatever his name is, (A WR from Michigan) is the rookie star so far of Saints camp. As a matter of fact, he's telling me that the Saints are probably going to trade one of their WRs to keep Colston, Patten, Meacham, and Arrington as the fourth. With Reggie Bush and now Jeremy Shockey, the fifth WR in NO is completely irrelevant.

Griese jr went to the playoffs as a rookie didn't he?

He went to a probowl, I know it was early in his career. I remember Henne mentioning him in an interview.

I think his senior year was the year Loyd Carr arrived.
