So far for me Tannehill has had an Andy Dalton rise to the position. I'm hoping he continues to rise and not stall out like Dalton.

So the "it" factor and the "clutch gene" are separate. It appears the "it" factor is not really definable as to what "it" is, we can only point out what "it" isn't, but it is possible to know when someone has "it."

Some games it's clear, not only does Tannehill have the "it" factor, he also has the "sh" factor.

The "it" factor is the "rising above" factor, and Tanne has not shown that, my problem with Tanne is that he has not shown the "it" factor, he is just another cog on the team, players with the "it" factor elevate your team, which he clearly has not done.

Yeah, yeah. My problem is that Tannehill hasn't shown the Jibjabjabooby Power. Until I see this thing that doesn't exist, he'll forever be meh.

lol, what you know about this sport could fit in a thimble, so forgive me if I don't take anything you say seriously.

Your comments are good for a laugh though, you remind me of those guys chasing Bigfoot.

His first game every year is sub-par...and it hasn't impacted the rest of the season, yet. It's one game.

Hasn't Dalton been in the playoffs like what? four times? I know it was all because of a weak division. Hey, i'll take one of those playoff appearances. I'll take that rise, but so far, it hasn't been close. Reality sucks, huh?

Dalton's play when he entered was good and he got better every year. That's what I see from Tannehill so far. Some people here think he's better than Rogers, others think he's worse than Henne. I sit in the middle and think he's on the same path Dalton was on. Dalton doesn't win games by attacking teams...he's just another player on a good team. Not too many other teams are afraid of Dalton like some of the top QBs in the league.

I hope Tannehill takes another step in becoming better, but as of now, I see him becoming as good as Dalton.

My whole point is that you can't really say that their "rise" to the position has been the same. Dalton has been to the playoffs four times. I think he went in his first year. So, getting better? There is nothing similar to their "rise". No QB is just "another player". You can maybe say that about a kicker, but not for a QB.

Who said Tanne is better than Rodgers?? .. and who said worse than Henne? Please share.

Definitely. So far he's just a cog with that magic word "potential" and not the guy who's elevating the play around him (which is what you tend to see that with the great ones).

Hey now, those guys on "Finding Bigfoot" have it all figured out. They're making good money by camping in the woods and howling. You're going to pay me good money to camp with my friends and howl at a creature I know doesnt exist? Sign me up.

This is the kinda crap that really gets annoying, and makes some people go over-the-top in their defense of Tannehill against the critics. You throw a nugget like that out there and it feeds the negative, and its completely untrue.

Nobody on this site has EVER said he's better than Rodgers...but you're right on the other part. I've seen that part said, or inferred, many times. And it may have been close to the truth his first year...but that was a while ago.

I think it's more about the defense. Maybe they could not let Jax go right down the field on the opening drive?

I guess Greg Cote couldn't be more wrong. Welcome to the wrong train. Tannehill performed amazingly behind this turnstyle OL.
