No ability to run. The OL remains one of the worst in the league. The defense is average at best. One of the worst coaching staffs in the entire NFL. Other than that, the Dolphins look like a sure SB winner this year.
I'm all for optimism but don't count on it. This team is done. 1st round next year they better pick the best offensive lineman.
we dont even try to establish the run its the reason tannehill started getting sacked late in the game they gave up on the run, so Jacksonville started blitzing every down.
From pft decidedly it is pretty accurate " although Bortles was aided by a decided lack of poise by Miami’s Olivier Vernon, who committed a stupid late hit that helped move the Jaguars into field goal range."
Yep because Lamar Miller is a ghost even when the run is there. All the ra ra cheerleading about 5 yrds per carry. Next.
I'm sure the team will magically look much better against much stronger competition soon.... even though the second half of the season under Philbin has generally been worse than the first.
We have a poor defense and no running game. We can't really pass block, either. We are asking our QB to go out there and win it with nothing but his receivers to help him. Sound familiar? And no, 17 isn't 13.
The only thing he should be pissed at is his own sub par play this year, combined with that of his team mates. Play better and help your team, dont be a dumbass and hurt your team.
Specifically because we lost today I expect to beat the bills, just to get our hopes up again before the inevitable.
Never thought we would have one of the worst pass rushing teams after 2 weeks with this talent on line.
we had four chances to address the oline. the FA period, the draft, when Collins became available the day after the draft and the waiver wire. we didnt do anything! jeff linkenbach, jaques mcclendon and jamil douglas added to the most porous part of our team. its ridiculous. even if you were falsely optimistic about how the line would come together by the preseason camp you should have known you were wrong after watching them everyday in practice and made a hardcore effort to sign mathis
At first this season my hopes were high 4-0 at the bye I watched the Dolphins play last week Their performance was quite meek Our defense couldn't stop the 'Skins They ran wild over the Fins In the end we came out ahead But our team looked really dead Week 2 in Jax against the Jags A team considered to play like hags Again defense, where were you? You played a lot of doo doo We could not even run the ball We couldn't rush it, not at all Tanny threw the ball a lot But long passes he ain't got Super Bowl! was the clatter Now we ask, what's the matter? Philbin, Lazor, Coyle, Ross Another Fins teams with a loss So my hopes that were once so high Make me sit here with a sigh Sadly this season will end 8 and 8 Another year that won't be great Please Don Shula, where are you? Tell us please what to do Losing to the Jags was bad Breaks my heart and makes me sad Next week the bills come to town Sadly the Fins will let us down
Haha I was just thinking that. Dolphins would do that. Then lose the next 2 games after beating Buffalo.
Andrew Lucks' coaches don't call for him to throw the ball perpendicular to the line of scrimmage all day. This car has the horsepower, it just needs a driver with the balls to step on the gas. I'm not talking about Tannehill.
Trade Cameron Wake to a contender. The guys deserves better. One of my favorite Dolphins of all time.
all i know is next year we better bring in two to three solid new offensive linemen through FA and the draft
Wake is getting old and his seems to be getting injured on a regular basis. Vernon has been a very mediocre DE since 2013. Suh obviously has not been the dominant player he was with the Lions. The rest of the players on the DL are basically average defensive linemen who were expected to play better only because of the addition of Suh to the defensive front. Prior to the game today, the Jags OL had given up at least 4 sacks in their last 8 games. Today they played without their starting LT and yet the Dolphins DL seemed to be completely overmatched.
Suh factor so far is nonfactor!Hell odrick looked better than I have ever seen him. Ex phins put on other teams uniforms And they turn into stars.Must be r ****ty coaches
Curious who was smiling? And if it was when they greeted Jags players they are college-friends etc with, I can understand that.
