So tell us how do you do that? I mean it's pretty easy to sit at a keyboard and give out this type of advise but how do you sit in a room with a man of his reputation and stature that looks you in the eye and says he wants to win championships and will lead and be what is precieved as the best DT in the league and determine if he is full of **** or not? Please do tell.

I would think you'd start by reviewing the film and taking a look at how the player played when his team was down on the scoreboard in meaningful games, while also interviewing his former coaches to get a sense of how he communicated with his teammates.

So you think Suh has been bull****ting the Lions staff, players, front office, other front offices, other players, fans (hate him or not) and completely fooled the Dolphins front office into signing him? Come on man. I have been in management for 15 years and interviews 100s of people and if a man is going to look you in the eye and tell you he is what you need then especially with his proven stats and performance and then he ****s the bed, well there isn't a team in the league that wouldn't be fooled. And please go look at his stats and performance and chat with his former team mates. They will tell you (especially now) how well Suh played for them.

I saw some hope on offense but damn Albert going down weekly hurts us. On defense we just let giys get behind us early and applied too little pressure.

I don't think necessarily anything in this regard. I'm merely describing a process that would help ensure a big expenditure of this sort isn't ultimately a mistake.

Sheppard and Vigil are both below average. Regardless of who plays there will be issues there, but yes, I agree it's odd to see rotating MLBs.

The biggest issue is the pass rush, not an easy fix when the secondary makes blitzing a huge risk. Both of Robinson's big plays were on slow developing double moves. A post corner post and a dig-go, on both throws Bortles was able to hold the ball and make a clean delivery. Other than those two plays and a QB draw the Jax offense was a bunch of pin pricks.

That's not to say Coyle is doing a good job, I don't mean that at all. The point is that putting it all on the DC ignores the issues he's dealing with.

I hear you. It's just difficult to determine such things. You take a man at his word and if he doesn't follow through its hard to point at anyone else but him, at least imo, well at least in this case. As far as placing blame it goes from the players to the coaching staff up to the f.o. It's not like if Miami got new coaches the talent on this team will go to the Super Bowl. They are not that good. I'm not sure where all th confidence in the linebackers, OL and secondary came from but. Sheppard? Misi? Jenkins? Lol and then what was done on the OL to give anyone any confidence in them? The secondary has Grimes and? It comes down to average players, average coaches and an average team 8-8.
