http://www.theonion.com/article/dolphins-coaches-trying-fix-ndamukong-suhs-quarter-51371 They seem to be trying to limit the amount of throwing Suh has done as of late, I wonder if there isn't some sort of hidden injury issue.
This just confirms the theory I've argued here before - Suh lacks the footwork to be consistently accurate. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
Suh plays like a DE trying to shed his blocker, but he's a DT.. it's awkward to watch. I think this is a big reason why we're getting gashed in the run game. He's not taking on his blocker. He's not doing his job. Has he always been like that?
When I first read the title I thought it meant they were working on his actual throwing mechanics. For some odd reason that made me laugh more. Kind of, "They are paying him like a QB, might as well teach him to be a QB."
Every win in Detroit was because Suh was QB, so make sure you all factor that into his grade. I mean the guy just has...."it", you know?
His main problem is he doesn't have great awareness in the pocket and his deep throws of the QB just aren't accurate. Perhaps he should get with Tannehill to work on these weaknesses.
Maybe they can also work on down and distance decision making, and knowing when to run. Sent from my SM-G360T1 using Tapatalk
No kidding. The guy made a bum like Calvin Johnson look like Randy Moss. Sent from my SM-G360T1 using Tapatalk
His first two weeks under center for us have been atrocious. Joe Philbin apparently has implemented yoga training into the practices. Rather than a bag of footballs the training staff and coaches arrived with yoga mats, and coconut water for all the players. Branden Albert was injured trying to do the Pelican stretch, Suh was escorted out of practice for throwing his mat at Ryan Tannehill, while Dallas Thomas turned over while stretching and was seemingly pinned by his mat.
Typical...we hear all off-season about how another guy is going to fix everything and now it's all, "oh, be patient, he's a work in progress."
Aaaah. Upon further review. The article isn't talking about his skill playing the QB position, but rather, his skill in throwing the actual guy playing the QB position. In other words, I reads no good.
I think the deep throw is really overvalued. Suh can keep the D on schedule and efficient with 3 or 4 good quick short throws.
