Yeah that press conference was pathetic, between his lack of conviction, his stupid hand gestures that made him look like a mentally handicapped Mr. Magoo, and the fact that he didn't even seem that upset over the horrendous loss his team just incurred, I really lost any last shred of respect that I could have had for him. He seems to me like a guy more concerned with keeping his paycheck than anything else, that's the impression I got. Definitely not head coach material.

Isn't most of the offense and some of the defense new to the team? I dont think he ever had it

 

They have totally given up on him and he knows it. His biggest mistake was defending Coyle but also not forcing Lazor to let Ryan Audible. There was at least 5 plays yesterday where if we could have audibled out of the play we could have run for a first down. by either switching to a run or running to the other side.

 

With this coaching staff we'll be lucky to get to 6-10. This will be the most disappointing season in the history of the franchise in terms of expectations vs results. It will basically be the polar opposite of that 11-5 season.

 

philbin jettisoned all the players who had passion for the game. Another year of him and he would get rid of Jones and Landry.

you have to believe if we had a head coach that could control the locker room, get respect from his players, and not act scared all the time, vontae davis, incognito, and possibly more above avg guys would still be on this team.

 

Besides Tannehill and Landry, nobody on this team looks like they give a crap. This offensive line couldn't block a Pop Warner league team. It sucks not being able to run the ball and watching your quarterback get beat up 80% of his drop backs. The coaching is 2007 level bad, maybe worse.

Philbin says Dallas Thomas played better than last week...... not sure what the basis of that statement comes from...

 

Falls in line with this coaching staff being clueless.

 

If you start a statement with "I know it sounds crazy" it is very likely the statement is indeed crazy.

 

Suh also made a comment...that we all gotta get on the same page and go back to the drawing board, or something like that. I think Philbin is losing this locker room. Players are getting pissed esp. defensive players. Maybe we'll see Coyle get fired first before any other changes take place. That actually makes sense for DC to get fired and keep Philbin/Lazor for now, till the end of the season I guess. But with these players Miami has on paper this defense should be much much better than what it is, therefore someone's gotta get fired. Start with Coyle and eventually fire Philbin if that doesnt work

Most of us have known for over 2 years Philbin wasn't the answer...what the hell is it with Miami and holding on to coaches for too long??

He will never lead this team anywhere.

 

I undertand your point but Albert is pretty much useless because he can't stay healthy and Davis/Smith > Grimes/McCain.

 

I think his team has already answered that question.

Jeff Ireland was literally fired for wanting to can Joe after his first end of season meltdown; this year, it's just happening earlier than usual. This is what happens when billionaires try and make football decisions, ask Redskins fans. Luckily for us, Ross is still a business man first and foremost and eventually he will get over his ego and cut his losses. That and we drafted Tannehill who most fans don't seem to realize is one of the most valuable QB's on the planet simply due to lack of other YOUNG, elite options at the position. Tough position to find/play.
