I'm not sure how many of you feel, but as long as Philbin is coaching this team...

...I refuse to give them any more of my support. I will not buy any more memorabilia, nor will I be going to any more games.

Seeing my username you may have guessed that I am in Canada(and you'd be correct). Me and my wife/family go to at least two games a year. Which can be quite expensive. We have one game scheduled with tickets already bought....for the Tennessee game. And I told my wife that if we were at least 3-1 going in to that game that we would go to another game in Miami in December.

But nope...that is gone out the window. Then I realized that this team isn't worth me spending anymore money on them anymore. And honestly, if it wasn't for the fact that we have never been to Tennessee and think its gonna be a good trip regardless I would just sell these tickets off.

I know in the grand scheme of things the Dolphins franchise won't lose much just from the money me and my Family spend on them every year. But I think if enough fans do this maybe they would start to listen.

THe sad thing is, over the last 2 years I have become really emotionless watching these games. It seems like I don't care if they lose anymore. I've become so numb to the let downs and failure that it just doesn't affect me anymore. In fact I watch these games with about the same emotion and excitement that Philbin shows during games

I don't see that changing as long as this coaching staff is on the sidelines.

One last thing....watching Rex get upset with the game in the 4th with mistakes his players made when the game waas far out of hand and then seeing Philbin keep nodding his head and clapping his hands like a toy monkey with cymbals with our team just demonstrates another reason why this coach needs to be gone.

Its hard to care as a fan...or as a player...when the guy driving the ship towards the iceberg doesn't even care.

I think next week might be the only "home" game where the stadium will be full and thats because its London. good news is the FCC does not blackout games anymore which means ross gets to show off the aqua colored seats as no one will be sitting on them when the dolphins play.

I won't be going to anymore homes games until this team makes some serious changes.

I don't mean flashy "Oh lets go sign the best player blah blah blah"

I mean some serious changes. This team is dysfunctional. and has been for a long time.

I feel the same way. I usually attend two home games per year. I'm upset that I already spent money on the tickets and airfare, but at least I'll enjoy the warm sunny weather. Next year, I'm not buying tickets for anything until some type of promise is shown. I'm sure some will call me a hater, or say I'm a bandwagon fan, well, this team doesn't exactly have a "bandwagon" to jump on, unless one enjoys riding the wave of mediocrity and losing. I don't even feel upset about this loss to Buffalo. Any excitement I had for the team has just turned to apathy. I'm glad today is Miami Heat Media day, because at this time I'm looking forward to Basketball season. I'll always be a fan, but at this point, I've just stopped caring, the same way the coach and players have. When they turn it around, I'll come back.

I had tickets for the Titans game. Dolphins sideline. 30-40 yard line, about 20 rows up. They're on stub hub already. Partly due to some medical issues holding us back, and due to the terrible performance of this team. Wife is a Titans fan, but she don't care either way if we go. She wanted to go to Nashville for other reasons, and was on board with going to the game too because of how much I love the Dolphins. We thought it would be fun, but, with all that's going on in our own lives, and with how bad this team is playing, I'd rather not spend about $1200 to $1400 and take two days off work to go. Just isn't worth it presently. Even if they get things straightened out on the bye week...

yup we are pretty much at the same point right now.
I am even contemplating just selling our Titans tickets as well, and maybe take the money and go somewhere else( I already have the days off work)

Hell, for the $2500 We were gonna spend on this trip we could go somewhere a lot nicer.

And on top of that, going there to see them lose to the Titans at home would be even more demoralizing...

I'll admit, half the trip to the games is to get out in the sun and fun of south florida(I miss being back there).

But I would just rather prefer spend my money in other ways than to plan around dolphins games like we've been doing for the last 10+ years, if they are just gonna continue to stay on this road of mediocrity.

We have season tickets going back to the 90's. After days like yesterday, I wonder why.
The whole game day experience was worse yesterday than prior years. Terrible traffic management and long lines to get into the stadium.
Then you get inside and the product is putrid.

Yup, you'd think with ppl getting bigger high definition TVs and surround sound and all the bells and whistles at home that they would make the game day experience more pleasant. But with the growing costs of games and the inconvenience of going to and from games I sometimes wonder why we do it.

I've limited my games to only 1 or 2 a year. and Now I'm even debating if I'll even go to 1.

This team has been trying to buy a better team since Ross took over by merely spending money on high priced free agents. Instead of building through the draft as the better teams in the league do.
Until they start drafting impact players who can remain with the team through more than just one contract. This team is going nowhere and will continue to be no more than a mediocre team at best. Right now though, they aren't even good enough to be called mediocre.

Ultimately as fans, the only real option we have is to withhold our money from them. Individually it won't make a difference, but if enough people feel and act the same it may force some kind of change. But it would take huge amounts of people to do it.

All of us ranting on the internet is like so much pink noise to them.

My thoughts exactly. If mine sell, I could go spend the weekend in Vegas, or go somewhere warm and sunny in the winter for that kind of cash. It's not that I'm saying I'm never going to watch this team again, because I'll be right back in my chair downstairs Sunday Morning with my steak & eggs and a beer. However, I'm not about to blow precious vacation time, and cash like that to spend a weekend out of town somewhere to watch when I can take that same amount of cash and go on a longer vacation, that's probably more enjoyable. Damn, Nashville hotels are expensive!

I can handle a rebuilding team. I can tolerate going through a rebuild or restructure if there is progress.
But keeping the bar at the same place or even going lower I will not stand for.

If he gets fired and we continue to lose the rest of the season I can handle, because I can SEE that changes are being made.

Staying the course, and delaying this firing just makes it worse IMO. 2 years too long

I should have done a little more research before buying the tickets but it costs more to go to Nashville than it does to go to Miami for he same duration.

I won't stop watching them from home though, I'll be watching like you. I usually grab my jersey and snacks and watch the games and have a good time but I've found starting last year that I just don't care enough to grab my jersey to watch.

WHich is weird cuz its been my ritual in my house for so long to see me rip one of my jerseys off and throw it across the room after a loss LOL

I won't lie though, I was kinda optimistic after this offseason, but it just came crashing down quickly, the reminder of How poorly a Joe Philbin coached team really is.

These phoney fair weather fans are as big a problem as anything with this franchise. Please just go join a bandwagon.... don't expect real fans to beg you to stay. Your not passionate, your not on our level.

No one needs to justify their level of fandom. I would think that if you are a member of a miami dolphins internet forum, you are a pretty committed fan.

Posts like this should make Ross and the other 31 owners a bit nervous. I don't blame cdn at all, as a matter of fact I have friends coming from Toronto for the Texans game and I wonder after yesterday how he feels about it. His hotel, plane tix and tix to the Hurricanes vs Clemson game the day before.

So very sad.....Ross has done everything BUT make the team on the field better. I don't think he understands that is the most important part of the "Finz game" experience.

Yeah man, I hear ya. I think everyone's expectations were sky high.

Wife and I thought it would be a good weekend. Then some health issues crept up, were still going to go, but now after this start, it's kinda like... why are we wasting money on this trip now when we just went in the hole another $10k. Like, it just doesn't add up.

So some of you jackasses can ramble on about not being real fans, or whatever... and you can all go you know what yourselves. Unless you've walked a mile someone elses shoes, you should just stfu.

Where in canada u from bro?

I think the only option as a fan is to not spend a dime on this team until either Ross sells or they figure out how to put together a coaching staff and team.

Too much bs during Ross's ownership and horrible decisions with this coaching staff.

Originally from Hamilton, but work has bounced me around from Montreal and kingston(where I am at the moment)

we we were actually going to drive down, then two ppl from our party dropped out. So we though maybe fly..but even though we'd save time, it still costs a lot.
we are still debating on going or not. Since we already took time off work. But might just say screw it and go to a Jay's playoff game instead :king:

Personally, I'd say some you guys are already spending way too much to support the team. I would never think to spend $1k to see a game. That's 3 times what NFL Sunday Ticket costs.

I understand that if everyone was like me, there'd be no one actually attending games, lol, so you're doing a great service but man, that's nuts to the average fan. You probably should've stopped doing that a long time ago--especially considering how terrible this team has been for so long.

I haven't missed a game either live or on TV since 2005 (I was in Afghanistan). I love watching football and I love watching the Dolphins.....

This has nothing to do with watching them. This is more about giving them ANY of my financial support(which is all they care about).

If they don't care enough to make changes to put a winner out there...like REAL changes, not cosmetic changes like new seats, painted endzones, new logos, or high priced free agents.

this team needs a culture change. And the best way to do that is with a new coaching staff.

Yup it costs a lot. But we can't all be in market. If we want to go to a game it costs alot.

But we are lucky as well, cuz our team plays in South Florida...a nice place to vacation. I get to kill two birds with one stone.
But I could just as easily go to DR/Mexico or Cuba on Vacation for the same...or even less money.

I was at the Bills game when they got destroyed. Also got tickets when they play the Texans. I was thinking about another game but no way. No more games for me this year. The Texans aren't good so maybe they can win that game or at least not get blown out. Either way I will probably be pulling my hair out again watching them play.

Yeah, but see, I haven't seen the phins play live since the Thanksgiving game in Detroit when Joey Harrington beat the Lions. Oh what a day that was for me in Detroit

Being located where some of us are, there's no real option.

By the time you buy tickets, drive or fly, and get a hotel room for a night or two, it adds up very fast. Hell, it was very hard to find a hotel in Nashville for under $300 a night. Since we were driving in, staying two nights, that's $670 or so with fee's and taxes just to spend those two nights. The plans have us staying an extra night in Louisville for about $150 since we'd be leaving late Friday after work from here. 8 hour drive each way, so I'd assume a couple hundred on gas. Then throw in food, drinks, entertainment. Then throw in another 250 or so for tickets. $1000 is actually probably pretty cheap for the average out of town fan to attend a game. It is what it is. Flying it would be even worse.

    There's just really no option.

I should have known better after making the trip to Tampa a few years ago and watching us LOSE in Tampa to that horrible team.
These coaches just don't have a clue.

I don't know how many times we can just sit back and watch the same things happening.

I feel like i have battered wife syndrome.
