Philbin has boughten himself one more week with Ross by saying, "We'll see what kind of team we have. We're going to find out." even though we know damn well what kind of team we have. He's on week-to-week employment at this point.

Prediction: a shootout ensues in London against the Jets. Miami's defense surrenders 34 points and a 90+ passer rating to Ryan Fitzpatrick, but the offense comes out on top with 37 points of their own. The first of many heads roll, as Kevin Coyle is fired entering the bye week. Philbin remains at the helm until we're embarrassed in week seven by the Evil Empire; a primetime game, no less. Miami ends the season with a 5-11 record, once again establishing themselves as cellar dwellers of the AFC. And, with the sixth overall pick, the Miami Dolphins select Vernon Hargreaves III - cornerback, Florida.

If we beat the Jets, then GREAT! I love watching the Fins stick it to the Jets.

I don't think it will do much in terms of how this team will play the rest of the season though.

I really believe the Dolphins team we've seen the last three weeks is exactly the Dolphins we'll be seeing come week 17. Scary.

no thanks I'd go all OL in the first. #1 LT Ronnie Stanley Notre Dame #2 OG Cody Whitehair Kansas St.

At least if we fix the OL we'd have a chance to win some shootout games.. as well as, you know, saving Tannehill's life.

Stanley is an absolute stud, and if he's on the board, he's the pick. Plays a lot like Joe Thomas/Jordan Gross. However, because of that he has a chance to go very early. I'm afraid we won't have a chance at him if we're outside looking in on the top five selections. Assuming he's gone, I'd much rather see the team draft based on BPA, as opposed to reaching for a lesser talent (i.e., '14 Ja'Wuan James) when greater talents (i.e., '14 Jason Verrett, Kelvin Benjamin, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix) are staring us in the face. If Stanley is gone and we're in position to draft what could be the next Darrelle Revis, it had better happen. We have too many holes on this roster to reach based on "priority".

Blah. **** our front office. They give me headaches.

I can see us beating the Jets. I don't see them as tough as the Bills.

If we beat the Jets maybe the panic subsides? This is week to week. Even in London, I don't feel good about this game. I'm sure it wont be nearly as pathetic, there is more at stake on a personal level for the players, being on a world stage instead of their own backyards. They can make up their performance at home. Playing overseas in front of a wider audience attracts more opportunities to their brands, at this once in a yeartime chance.

i see us winning this game. we seem to find the answers just when it looks most bleak. unfortunately the loss of brandon albert is killing us on offense and the gimpiness of wake on defense is killing our pass rush so i'm not sure if we can overcome these two areas with just scheme adjustments

That's why I don't wanna beat the Jets. Suck for Stanley!

But yeah, there's so many holes on this team I'm drafting on one side of the ball primarily next draft. And we have a better chance to make the offense a force than the defense at this point, and with a capable OC.

I agree with your assessment of not reaching though. I've always been a BPA kinda guy, unless it's a position we don't need. Which, well we need almost everything at this point so that doesn't factor in for us lol.

it doesn't matter if we beat the jets or not, we would get to .500 before the bye which is good but then its 4/5 on the road including @new england(lol they will massacre us far worse than the bills did) @buffalo, and @ philly.

If we beat them all of a sudden we're 2-2. If the Bills and Patriots keep playing the way they have, we're probably chasing the last WC spot, which will be terribly hard. But it's better than being in the cellar.

It's only week four. I'm still hoping the team gets their **** together and makes a run at the playoffs. I never understood pulling for your favorite team to lose. Especially to those window licking a-holes we call the Jets.

Beating the Jets will not likely change much that has happened over the previous 51 games under Philbin.

Playoff hopes have died already considering the spread in AFC E and how this team looks after 3 games....short of a miracle and the rest of the division bombing out of nowhere I don't see us with a positive record. We don't even want another 8-8 record. Philbin has had more than enough time with this team, if things were going to get better they would have happened already.

Fire Philbin and rebuild around Tannehill, Pouncey, Wake and even Suh (since you can't get rid of him), things need to shake up and if that means we have to go 3-13 this season then so be it.

To me it won't mean a whole lot. Unless if they win the next 3 games and come out to 4-2 then maybe this team will go somewhere. But I doubt it. Like the Bills the Jets provide another tough match up with their defensive line and they have a better secondary. Marshall and Decker will eat this secondary alive. And of course if you have anything more than a dead corpse at RB you can run all over the Dolphins. I predict Jets win by 14. Last game I predicted Bills by 21 and they didn't even worse than I expected.

Wow. Some of you guys have got to be kidding me? Only 3 games in and we are throwing in the towel?

You do realize that the rest of our schedule doesnt look as tough as it did earlier in the year. Baltimore, Indy, San Diego dont look as sharp as they did last season. We get the Titans, Texans, and a hobbled Cowboys team. The Jets twice, a Bills team that might get caught in a trap game and a NE game they may not need to play hard for. Going into this game last season we had 1 win and 2 losses. Take a chill pill folks, lots of season left.

If we win, it would give me *some* hope for this team in the sense that our offense was able to score points against a good defensive front, and our defense held up against a respectable, but not stellar Jets offense. Regardless, unless a miracle occurs I still believe Philbin needs to go. Philbin and his staff don't possess the football intelligence needed to come up with solid game plans, or put their players in the best positions to be successful.

You have got to be kidding right. Washington and Jax are the two worst teams on our schedule. One we barely beat because of a punt return by Landry and the other team (which was worse), embarrassed us wholly. All the teams you named are better then those two teams.

I understand that. But look at what NE did last year. They got killed by us then lost to KC, then ended up winning a SB. Not saying thats what is gonna happen to us, but man i still think we have some good football left in us.

What have you seen out of this team in the first 3 games that makes you think any of those teams you mentioned are easy wins? From what I've seen out of this defense so far, I'm convinced any QB Miami faces this year is going to have their best game of the season. Yes there is a lot of football left to be played. But most of us have seen enough to know this season won't be any different than the previous 3 under Philbin, and it's likely to be much worse.

I never said anything was easy, but i remember after beating the Pats last year everyone on this board thought we were going to the Super Bowl and we didnt. So why cant we have a slow start and gel late in the season and maybe just maybe put a run in for a wildcard spot? We were 0-2 to start the year in 08 and won the division. Guess im just trying to stay positive, but yes history may likely just repeat itself.

24-13??? With Miami winning?? LMFBO!!! This team has shown zero ability to stop an opposing offense, and our offense is completely one dimensional with a terrible oline.

We get crushed by the Jets. We can look forward to another crushing defeat by the Bills, and two from the Pats. Probably get swept by the Jets. We stand a good chance of winning zero division games.

Yeah, I'll just switch teams because my team is playing like they want to go 1-15 this season.

I'm a Dolphins fan. However, that doesn't mean that I disregard their level of play. They look like garbage. Predicting a 14 point win over the Jets is laughable.

Well it seems like im getting shunned for daring to have a little faith in this team to turn it around this week. We weren't perfect before the london game last year either and so im not ready to throw in the towel yet. Maybe this London game will do the trick and I'll come back and vent about this team with the rest of you guys on the bye week.

What I would like to see is Suh to encourage the defensive line to step up their level of play. I would like to see Pouncey stoke the fire of the offensive line. We need some players to step up and be emotional leaders.
