Lol wtf. "Come on come on lets go, this is what we need leadership I know." The hell does that even mean? You're the leader Queasy... has no one told you?
only the dolphins would hire a pilgrim-looking zombie to take over the coaching reigns after the cam cam debacle.
That happens during pretty much every game, from high school on up. If the players started sprinting to the sideline would a single person here say "look how they bust *** for Philbin, he's awesome"?
Since you've been arguing that the team doesn't look flat...would you say that players playing with intensity generally shuffle around?
I'm saying that players running, jogging, walking off the field after a possession is totally irrelevant to anyone not suffering from confirmation bias. Seriously. There's plenty to criticize Philbin for but some of this stuff is embarassing.
He **** himself out of fear Philbin would bench him for not turning his head at exactly 22.76 degrees when looking for crossing routes. Therefore he had to change.
have you ever played any organized sports? cuz if you did you would understand that if the coach is waiving his arms urging you to hurry up and get off the field and you just slowly take your time that there is going to be a meeting with that coach in the very near future that might make you just a bit uncomfortable. now throw in a group of players responding that way and that clearly is a sign that they just don't care any more.
I played football for 12 years, with hundreds of players of dozens of coaches. Nothing even close to what you're describing ever happened. I have alot of friends who are ex players and or current coaches, I think they'd have a good laugh at what you're implying. Perhaps in little League ball the coaches have that type of authority. Not hustling or playing hard during the actual game will put players in the doghouse for sure, not jogging off the field, in the Pros? Never. Just say you don't like Philbin because he hasn't produced a winning team yet. That's more than good enough. All this other ish is silly.
At this point, I miss Sparano..there I said it Fist pumper had faults, he also had passion and I did not feel the players did not know what to do, or where unprepped.
While this is shamefully pathetic, and virtually on life support with no signs of brain activity, the symptoms that plagued Sparano's team, revealed the hapless incompetence of a vegetative state unique to their own.
Haha...how soon we forget. On Chad Henne's best days he would still be out there throwing interceptions and missing open WRs. Nah, at least the 2015 Dolphins have a chance.
I think Philbin has the work ethic and mind, but he definitely doesn't have the type of personality or charisma to motivate a team to play with high energy. In order for him to be successful he would need a QB that could do that and unfortunately that isn't Tannehill. All the great QBs I've seen (Marino, Manning, Brady, etc...) take it upon themselves to fire up the players around them and the players that don't give effort, those QBs have no problem getting in their face. Maybe it happens, but I don't recall seeing a clip of Tannehill firing up the team or a player on the sidelines or getting in a players face when the player is not giving effort. Anyone?
my problem with philbin is he is too ridgid of a thinker and gets out coached from not adapting to exploit obvious missmatches during game time. he might be a solid asst coach but as a headcoach he comes up flat. im a dumb fan and i see it i cant imagine how frustrated the players are trying to overcome it. I can't speak to your experience so i'm glad for you that your experience was so pleasant. but every organized team sport I have been associated with or been witnessed to if you did not hustle or show urgency you didn't play. if you ignored the coach all together and didn't follow direction then you were off the team.
