I think you need to get an impact playmaker on defense with the top spot and then go OL with at least 2 picks in the 2nd through 4th rounds.

I haven't watched any of these guys but Bosa from OSU, Hargreaves from Fla or Ramsey from FSU will be at the top of most big boards. Thats assuming we don't go for QB. It would be nice to trade down and acquire some picks considering all the holes we have.

Haha...I was going to post a similar thread about summing up the roster and taking a look at who we had that we could build around. I though...eh...3rd game in...probably too early to start that talk.

The reality is, we won't go into the draft needing 1 guy or 1 player. Miami needs to focus on taking reliable, difference-making players regardless of position. Over 2-3 years the team will have had chances to draft good guys at a variety of positions. The big mistake this team has made is targeting certain positions high in the draft. That's a dumb mistake because you reach on talent that isn't that great.

There's no doubt though that the majority of the help needs to go to the defensive side of the ball. The only pieces Miami should worry about on offense are OT and OG. By contrast, the defense needs help at every position outside of DT.

With their track history with early picks, it won't matter.

I would rather fill OL with FA personally. Impact defender/pass rusher maybe?

If they get #1 the first thing they should do is get a left tackle.(sarcasm).

There should be doubt. We have one of if not the worst offense in the league. It's every bit as bad as the defense. Be interesting to see which unit ranks lower by seasons end. If you think this offense is ok then lol...line can't block, fan favorite Landry is the most overrated slot wr in the league and tannehill couldn't be less accurate. Guy missed a ton of throws today.

Hopefully we re smart enough to take the franchise qb if he's there. It's a shame we gave a marginal qb elite money. Going to f ##k us for the next 5 years.

Not true. He's been the whole team this year. A slot receiver is not going to pull this team out of the depths of hell.

they should trade it for more picks 1st and 2nd round picks because we need a litany of players not just one.

I am beyond pissed off about this season. It's finally very evident to me we need new coaches. We have talent but it's not being used properly, we need the kind of coach the players will play their hearts out for and a coach that uses the strengths of our players.

He catches screens. Big whoop. He had 3-4 drops today, handed an int to buffalo last week and had a huge drop on 3rd down vs the jags. He's the most overrated player on Mia. He's a good PR I'll give him that.

I'm with you. I don't know how anyone could watch Landry play football and think he is overrated. He's one of the best PR in the NFL. We use him in the running game, passing game and special teams. Then when you factor seeing one player who has fire, passion and heart on this listless team, he's a player you want on your team.

More wrong, but nice try. :pity: ...u only get so many chances to draft a stud QB. If they get the chance they need to do it. If that's the best reply you've got, save yourself the time and don't reply.

No QB will be good with this line. Not Rodgers, not Luck, not Brady.

I know it's easier to blame the QB, since casual fans only really know that position.

    But it's wrong.

So why could Fitzpatrick get away from our blitzes, but Tannehill can't?

You are making excuses for Tannehill.

Never said Thill was the only problem. He's not even the biggest problem but drafting a legit franchise Qb if given the chance will do more for this franchise than a LT or DE ever will.

That too, along with Pouncey contract but Suh and Pouncey aren't going to keep us from drafting a legit qb

Are you kidding me with this crap? The Jets have a good defensive scheme and a solid offensive line, we have neither of those things. Tannehill gets killed almost every time he drops back.

This. Hoping for an azzkicking mofo at MLB. Coyles and Philbin need to get over their love affair with Misi, who is a liability at SLB or DE and barely a capable MLB - which I thought was his better position last season than he is at SLB this season.

Jaylon Smith from Notre Dame - He'd give us a solid MLB to pair with Jenkins at WLB. Smith is only 20 Y/O, but already 6-3 and 240. He's a freak athlete who can play MLB or SLB and rush off the edge. Teams game plan for this guy. Something no one currently has to worry with with our defense.

We also need a safety. Thomas and Aikens both suck and Jones can't play everywhere.

I'd take a guard in FA. We can't draft one for shat.

fitzpatrick has been sacked 2 times this year. I'd say his OL is just slightly better than ours............................................................................................... if you don't understand, it means his OL can block a blitz for longer than .00000000000000000000000001 seconds.

The game is won in the trenches. I think our DLine can improve with minimal moves. Coyle has to go, but there is plenty of talent on that line.

We need a shutdown corner, we need a killer at MLB, and most of all we need competent players on the offensive line. I love Parker, but like Dion Jordan he is a wasted pick at this current juncture.
