Probably not a coincidence their defenses ranked 26th, 28th and 25th respectively and were the 3 worst defenses we faced.

Considering the fact that we've already had a bye week, the gap should be higher and I guarantee you Tannehill won't have more than three 20 yard plays this weekend or even one 40+ yard play. So how many more attempts will his fifth game amount to? What will the fair comparison be then?

Wilson has always been one of the most efficient QBs in the game and Tannehill has been passing way too often for someone of his skill level.

We'll all see that by the end of the season. Again.

    That's absurd.

He's had Brian Hartline and a horrible oline his entire time with the team.

Really? People point at the Raiders and SD games as skewing Tannehill's stats...but those also skewed the defensive stats.

Defense was bad. Oline was terrible. Receivers were average at best, and were certainly well below average for the first four games. Field goal unit was bad. Coaching was bad.

Not that I disagree, but if they really run the ball alot, the gap may not be as big. If the run game actually can be productive, which is doubtful, Tannehill may have an actual chance at some intermediate/deep throws.

Of course, all this starts with the oline. I cannot fathom why people are so against realizing this.

I'm not against realizing that the offensive line is subpar. We just weigh the significance differently.

Everything affects the QB play but the QB also has an impact on the offense.

I know I sound like a broken record but Tannehill certainly doesn't help himself. He doesn't do anything to slow down the rush. Remember, he can always audible to a built in rushing play well before he has to throw us back into games. He can always throw screens. He can run some read option. But he doesn't do ANYTHING to help himself.

To blame the OC is to admit that he's a robot. He could at least make the case to him what needs to be done and it's so painfully obvious.

Honest question: if you were Tannehill, given how they've run the ball, would you ever audible to a run, if you actually are trying to win the game?

Also, Tannehill can only go screen if that's what's called. If he can't audible, then he can't switch from a PA play to a screen. If he started freelancing, and ignoring the coaches decision on plays, what message would that send to the team? How much would you guys blast him if you found it he was ignoring the coaches?

Also...if the oline affects QB play, which you've admitted it does, and the QB affects the offense...then doesn't the oline affect the whole offense?

Only in the jax game was Miller ineffective. The other 3 he should have carried it more.

He's averaging 3.5 a carry on the year. Jac he was terrible. Buffalo he was 5.4. Against the Jets he was 3.7. Yes, he should have carried more, he only had 7 carries against buffalo, aND 7 against the Jets. But, it's not like his runs have been exactly inspiring confidence...although, my main issue with the run game is again, the oline, and the inability of them to give the backs a chance to at least get to the LoS.

And against the skins it was 4.1. Those are good enough to stick with. It was playcalling and nothing more.

LOL. Brandon Albert comes back and Tannehill has only one incomplete pass in the first quarter. Yeah its not the oline

Hate to tell you guys, but Tannehill looks really good today.

Maybe the coaching and play calling WAS the problem?

A throw that Cameron didn't look for. Not absolving Tannehill, but Cameron's head up was up his behind on that play.

Even if we removed that last INT, all you can say is he managed the game well. Nothing special. Aaron Rodgers is really good, Ryan Tannehill, all you can hope for is no brainfarts like that last INT.

The 97 yard drive today... is 110% proof IMO, if you give Ryan reasonable time to throw, have a coaching staff playing to win, Ryan is a fantastic QB. This OL is clearly holding him back, and if you don't see that, then I feel sorry for you, and pray to god you don't make the personnel decisions for this team anytime soon.

Fix the OL, and you're going to see that Ryan Tannehill more often than not.

Yes, it all starts with the oline. Football fans understand this. Those with an agenda ignore it, in an effort to take shots at the QB.

The best part...is that this whole time we've been told by the chuckleheads that W/L is a QB stat and as soon as we win......he just was a game manager.

Yeah, and somehow those of us who have consistently said the same thing for three seasons are accused of being inconsistent. While the anti-Tannehill crowd flip-flips every other day.

It just so happens we had a new coach and our best oline man back for this game.

Try not to hurt yourself reaching around to pat yourself on the back as hard as you are.

Yeah, the oline just happened to open holes they haven't opened all season, and Miller had maybe his best game ever, just because they ran it more.

Of course the coach made a difference and so did Albert but you can't tell me they couldn't have done something similar since Tannehill was drafted.

All offensive linemen would look bad if they had to face a pass rush and blitz 75% of the time. Only lightning fast passing or rushing dampens the pass rush. The game plan made a humongous difference. The coach just emphasized it and directed it. The players deserve credit, even Douglas and Thomas.

We should really adopt this line of thinking. I mean imagine how nice it is not have any accountability, because no matter how wrong you are, you can just pretend you're right.

Looks like missing Simms hurt this offense more than anyone thought. Great all around win today! Oh and Mel Kiper sucks! ! don't think he has ever been right on any of his mock drafts he just likes to talk allot of dribble.

Why is it I've never seen you say this sort of thing to people who actually run around hurling insults on a routine basis?

Or, why not actually address what he's saying, in that the anti-Tannehill crowd once again flip-flopped.
