We talk a lot about games, and I was curious to see what everyone's primary gaming platform is, now that we're two years into the PS4/XBOX1 era. Have a lot of you upgraded? I know that we have some PC/computer gamers too. Just for fun and discussion. If you do a lot on more than one, which one would you say will be the most going forward?
No Wii U? Just like the last generation I own them all. Last time around I bounced pretty evenly between Xbox360 and PS3 depending on games and preferences, but probably overall favored the 360. This time around it's PS4 and it's not even close. Mostly due to the interface. I think Microsoft really pissed all over themselves with the Xbox One interface. It's terrible. PS4 closed the gap with online gaming this generation and the interface is miles ahead of the Xbox One. I don't see Xbox One catching up either. In fact, I'm seriously considering selling my XBox One. Wii U is a lot of fun too with some really good games. In terms of % of time spent gaming per device, I guess I should have even picked tablet/phone as I have a bit of a Clash of Clans addiction...
Xbox One is the one I use most. Probably because I got Destiny on it. I also have a PS4, WiiU, PC, Vita, and (new) 3DS XL.
I'm a PC gamer for sure. Been mulling the idea of getting a PS4 for some casual games like racing games or madden.
I'd say my PS4. My X1 is practically an exclusive platform for me, as is the Wii U (obviously). I also own a Vita and New 3DS. I do not own a gaming PC, however.
I actually forgot that the Wii U existed. Sorry. I don't think that I can edit the pole. There is the "other" option, if that's your chosen platform.
I do virtually all of my gaming on the PS4 now. The PS3 has been moved into another room and is basically a Blue Ray player for my kids. The Wii is next to it, but my kids only play dancing games so far. I used to game on a PC a lot back in the XP days and earlier, but cannot do online stuff that they require, so I haven't in years. My laptop is three years old this month and I've never once played a game of any kind on it, even though its more than fast enough.
Wii U and 360 here but mainly my Wii U as I don't get to play often these days. Great games on that system but a true shame it flopped.
14 votes so far, which I would say probably makes up about the number of regular posters that we have in this sub forum. I knew that we had a lot of PC gamers, but I honestly didn't think that the number would be more than the PS4/XBOX crowd combined. Surprising.
Primary gaming platform: yes.
PS4, my first Sony console since the original Playstation. I just finished the Uncharted Collection, in time for the wife to start Fallout 4.
