For starters, it would help if those complaining about Tannehill would be a little more vocal in their criticism of players or units who are playing at far worse levels than Tannehill.

Really? Now your playing stupid. Every body here is critical of Tannehill...even his biggest supporters. If you cant tell the difference between being critical...and just showing up to be a pain in the ***..thats on you

That's your characterization of them to bash them. They're critical. There's a spectrum of them. They're still fans though and should be treated as such, not be told to root for someone else.

Where's the Thomas or Vernon or Fox thread? As far as I'm concerned there's mostly Tannehill threads, so... yeah... I can't criticize him in a thread meant for him?

Ryan Tannehill’s struggles in divisional road games mirror those of Miami Dol...

I've already said I want to see what happens with Campbell and to see if Tannehill improves on things I've mentioned before it's most opportunistic to opt out of his contract.

If not, I'm interested in trading a draft pick for AJ McCarron.

Edit: I've said these things multiple times.

Why would we talk about those guys in a thread about Ryan Tannehill? The problem with you guys is anytime someone points out the flaws in Tannehill and that team's can easily scheme against him you want to blame it on everyone else. The OL, RB, defense, coaches, etc without giving him hardly any blame. Every sack and interception is someone else's fault. Tired of the excuses. Get the ball downfield get through the reads and make a play.

Do you even know how our offense operates?

Serious question. Do you know how Bill Lazor has designed this offense?

Now, that doesn't mean I want it to work out that way. Just making that clear.

Do you know anything about the quarterback position and how much they mean to their team? Because all you've done is downplay how much guys like Manning, Brady, and Rodgers do for their team and put Tannehills shortcomings on everyone else. What kind of offense do you think this is? Most of the time it is dysfunctional and getting shut down by everyone in the division. It's a joke. And one reason why is Tannehill. You can't get YAC if you're throwing 3 and 4 yard passes. Give your receiver an open field and give him a chance to run with it. Hit the guy down the seams instead of always checking down so much. Jordan Cameron was a pro bowler and now he is nothing. Wonder why?

My point is that, by definition, there is no such thing as a "critical fan." You're either a fan, or not.

MOST people here, including every Tannehill supporter, have said NUMEROUS times, that they wished Tannehill would do such-and-such better, or improve in such-and-such areas...but it gets lost by all the crybaby-*** haters spewing their extremism BS...crap like "you all think he's damn Aaron Rodgers" and the like...which I've seen several of the "critics" say fairly recently, when NOT A SINGLE PERSON has said anything close to that.

So the "critical fans" deserve all the bashing they get with that kinda crap.

Once again you make stuff up and claim no one has an alternative when pretty much everyone in here has. I will give Tannehill this season and next. After that time to look in the draft.

Anyone that doesn't critic their team is just a homer. If you want to call that a critical fan that's you're problem.

Huh...Tannehill has as many 20 Yard Pass plays and twice as many 40 yard pass plays are Aaron Rogers this season...Oops.

So I guess your answer is no, you have no idea what kind of offense Bill Lazor runs..because if your gonna critique the guy...dont you think you might find that out?

Dan people were here starting Tannehill is a bust before hed played an entire season here.

He got passes swatted down in his first game by JJ Watt...and all the sudden you thought it was a career threatening problem by some. This kinda crap has gone on for four years...it gets old

I apologize for not reading through all of this tripe. I also think McCarron would be a huge upgrade to Moore at the very least.

What about the Dolphins also hire a real QB coach?

  23. vt_dolfan

vt_dolfan Season Ticket Holder Club Member

CK brought that up here and on Twitter, getting him a real QB coach probably would help with his issues. Hes got terrible pocket awareness...sometimes I wonder if he just has David Carr disease...other times he handles the pressure just fine. Hes without a doubt a frustrating QB..because you see the potential...but something is just holding him back from taking that next step

I can only speak for my own experience. After the Titans game I was on here saying Tannehill had a great game, one of the best of his career and definitely the best of the season. I didn't mention a thing about the interceptions or any negative whatsoever. I praised his ball placement in that game and the pass to Stills was outstanding...the best pass of his career imo. I was here to celebrate the WIN.

The response I got from Tannehill's fan club (Fin-D, Resnor, Adamprez, Aqua04 and maybe a few others) is a bunch of a-hole remarks and personal attacks. I was totally sincere in my appraisal of him in that game. I thought he played a great game against the Texans as well. Tannehill got a lot of YAC, but his ball placement was outstanding and significantly led to the YAC. He was razor sharp, best I've seen him. Would have gladly posted on these boards, but who in their right mind would post when all it does is bring out the a-holes going on personal attack?

IMO that is the difference when someone loves a "player" whereas someone else loves the "team." People that love a player remind me of religious fundamentalists.

I cheer for the Dolphins to win every game and hope Tannehill does well. But I base my opinions and comments on the play I see on the field. When he plays well, I love it and have no problem acknowledging it. As for his career, I don't see a franchise QB and imo if the QB is not in the top 10 then the team has QB problems and needs to do everything they can to improve. This is a QB league, only 12 teams make the playoffs and the repeat offenders :) are the teams that have a franchise type QB. Does that mean I'm not a Dolphin fan? Heck NO! And if Tannehill starts playing better and leads Miami to the playoffs, I am TOTALLY open to becoming a fan of his.

Why is someone who is critical of poor play by the QB (BY FAR, the most important position on the team and the player who will determine whether the team wins/loses) less of a fan than those that criticize the HC, OC, DC, OL, WRs, RBs, Defense and Owner?

    Well away from here
Ah, the never ending Tannehill debate.

Best part about it no one will ever actually be proven right; not totally. And thus, the absolute many crave will once again elude them. Just my two cents on the subject, but after doing enough player evils to make a shrew go blind I've learned that you are never truly right.

    Why?

Too many variables. None of which you can objectively formulate against as the real info you want/need you don't have access too. And even if you did you'd only be right a little over 30% of the time.

Of all the things that do deserve attention this is not one of them.

Best words I could use to describe that type of behavior. I anyone came on being critical of Tannehill that is a fan I certainly be going after him with personal attacks.

I like Moore. He's done well when we've needed him to replace Henne and Tannehill in that Jets game.

I know Zac Taylor is yet another case of nepotism and possibly "it's not what you know, but who you know" except I don't know what he knows. It's very hard to evaluate position coaches. It's not like you can study the plays used by DCs or OCs. Or game plans and adjustments by HCs.
