There's no excuse for the way he managed the clock today and that has nothing to do with a lack of talent. If I knew we needed to take a time out in the situation before half-time, inebriated, watching the game from home; Dan Campbell needs to know that, period. And thats alarming that he didn't.

I don't mind the aggression, going for it before half-time but get with your OC and make sure you agree with the play call. You have a rookie running back with fresh legs, running like a man possesed. Run the God Damn ball.

And I don't understand how you say there arent any good candidates for the Head coach vacancy.

Potentially Sean Patton, Hue Jackson, Matt Patricia, Kyle Shanahan, Mike Shanahan and I could keep going. There are some solid candidates out there. Me personally, I want someone with some experience. I said it before and I'll say it again, Hue Jackson is the perfect fit for this team.

You did a great Job of listing the names I've heard floated that I couldn't be less interested in... =/ In 2014 the Saints were 7-9. This year they've managed to crawl their way back to 4-4. And they don't have Ryan Tannehill. They have Drew Friggin Brees!

Truth be told be need to worry about our lack of talent more than who will be our HC.. People should be really concerned with what Tannebaum is gonna do to this team in the offseason.

I'm sticking with Campbell until further notice. G'day.

Na tho the Raiders were flirting with it after they named Sparano the interim head coach for Allen.

I dont know what to think of Campbell honestly. Hes a guy that came in without a playbook or scheme. He is literally unprepared. Maybe if he had an offseason he can create his own identity. But i camt blame him for what the team is now. Its a flawed roster with many holes.

With that said we need an experienced coach like Payton to install his program here. Im just not going to blame Campbell. He doesnt even have a program. He just motivates and preaches aggression. Thats only a tenth of his job. The other stuff might take him another year or two to learn.

And i think we are done with coaches learning on the job like Sparano and Philbin.

Why Payton? He is not winning with a great QB, who do you expect him to win here? And his defenses have always been crap too

It's written in the stars. Everyone around here seems to love Sean Payton. Watch him get hired and we fall flat on our face. The last time he had a good team was 2013, and he's had Drew Brees his whole career.

Pretty sure Payton is too smart to want to come take over this mess, who would? I don't think Campbell is long term solution but I do like him and he's got the rest of the year to prove himself, he should start by telling lazor to pack his bags if he wants to win another game. Campbell said he was goin to lean on his assistants and apparently they don't have any situational awareness either I was hoping that crap would've left with philbin but apparently not. This team clearly needs a leader with football smarts and savvy and to hold coaches and players accountable.

You don't want a Super Bowl winning coach? He would be better than anything we've had since Jimmy.

Better coaching could help a bit. But the players just aren't good. The starting guards are bad. The backups at all the oline spots are bad. WR and RB are good to very good. TE is good but Cameron has health issues. Tannehill is fine for the most part, but not on the Aaron Rodgers level where he can overcome bad oline play (and even Rodgers has limitations there). The defensive line is good, though without Wake it's probably just average. The LBs are terrible. The CBs are terrible. Resead Jones is very good, but every other safety is bad. And depth everywhere on the defense is bad.

So that's two, maybe three or four positions that are probably above average. That's what I'd call a bad football team. I don't think Bellichick or an in his prime Shula coaches this team to a winning record. There are signs that Tannenbaum (spelling ?) can be a good. But I'm very skeptical that the front office is in good enough shape to fix all of these problems, and yes, that involves finding better coaches across the board, not just Campbell.

Granted, it's an incredibly small sample size, but no Head Coach has ever won the Super Bowl with two different teams.

I know a lot of people don't like tannenbaum, but is there a reason why? Was he really the reason the jets sucked for so many years or was it their coaches??

Zactly, but if we do hire him, he won't be bringing Drew Brees circa 2006 with him.
