No its his opinion that if he wants to talk about Ryan Tannehills film study habits..he should do it in a thread about Ryan Tannehill. This thread is about Sammy Watkins and Brent Grimes.
I think the Buffalo fans should be pretty excited to read this...a guy with Sammy Watkins physical talents, single handily pretty much beat the Dolphins defense because of really good study habits. If he continues with that kind of dedication, hes going to be a beast to face twice a year.
I truly find this amazing that this has to be explained numerous times in this thread alone. And even after its explained, there are more questions... We have to be better than this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bro the misrepresenting by Tannehill fans has got to stop. No one said this team is a QB away from the super bowl. This team has other needs. In fact some of them bigger needs. The OL, secondary, DE, and LBs are holes that need to be filled. The fact that there are so many holes is the reason why I'm willing to give Tannehill more time. But what you people don't understand is unless Tannehill improves the QB position is another area that will have to be addressed by the team in the next couple years. Nope it's much easier to blame his struggles on everyone else because this team has still not had a franchise quarterback since Dan Marino. That is the harsh truth that people don't want to accept. Everyone knows this team isn't good and has a lot of holes but there are some people that don't want to accept the fact that yet again this franchise might have to look for another QB.
Yeah man that was the point I was trying to make and what makes a great QB. Watching film and finding the tendencies and weaknesses of the opposing defense. Watkins did a great job of it so why can't Tannehill and this offense do the same. Often times they look lost and unprepared. Which explains all the blow out losses. Yeah I will try to lighten up on the Tannehill posts. People don't want to accept this reality we are in. Yet another hole may have to be filled.
A thread about Kelvin Sheppard would entail what exactly? An OP that says "Kelvin Sheppard sucks" and a bunch of thank yous. The thread would be like two or three posts long.
Watkins is a WR. Why arent you making the statement...how come our WRs arent doing something like this? The article said nothing about Tyrod Taylor looking at Grimes film.
Due to running the ball and YAC by Miller on screens. Not exactly Tannehill throwing down the field now is it?
Whats his average for the season? Once again the YAC by Miller bumped that up too on the screens. And the offense still only scored 17 points and got blown out. Soooo
You don't. Because people aren't going to start threads to that won't get any replies. If there was a thread titled "Kelvin Sheppard sucks" I wouldn't need to open it because I know its going to be a bunch of duplicate posts saying how much he sucks.
We are Dolphin fans, not just Tannehill fans. The problem , once again, is that this is a thread about Watkins and Grimes... Nobody brought up Tannehill but you. Numerous posters reminded you about what the topic and thread was about... You respond with another Tannehill post directed at Tannehill fans. A mod already noted to put these Tannehill posts where they belong. And again you can't follow along. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So true. It's amazing how lost he looks out there. Our LB's were bad yesterday. Campbell made some comments today about how Buffalo threw a bunch of completely new looks at us that they hadn't shown all year long that really got the LB's out of position. To me, it's pretty rare they're in position. Jenkins to me is a keeper, no doubt, but part of me thinks if we got a good, thumping MLB, we really could make due with Jenkins, and Misi along side. Ultimately I'd like to see us replace Misi as well, but there's only so much that can be done at one time. Pass rush/DE is a concern moving forward too as I said earlier.
The entire 2013 off season was a complete disaster. We drafted a really good LB in Jenkins and a solid TE in Sims. Everyone else drafted, signed, or re-signed was a failure in every sense.
I have to disagree, there is really nothing in the post or title that is about questioning Grimes, it's all about how Watkins prepared for the game through film study. Perhaps the OP was intended to question Grimes, but that certainly isn't clear in the title or body of the post, nor was it in the link, film study seemed to be entire point of the link.
Sammy Watkins, a WR, torching Grimes, by using film study, was the point. And the QUOTE in the FIRST POST specified Grimes. There was zero need to bring Tannehill into the discussion.
I took the OP as an indictment on Grimes' predictability and inability to adjust. But no matter what, trolls gonna troll. Damn near just need NYJunc here to make it FH lately.
Don't forget Tyson Turnstile Clabo and Dallas Thomas....that offseason was Millen-esque, boy I know all those posters here that supported keeping Ireland in 2013 because they actually believed he'd use all of those resources wisely feel pretty stupid.
Grimes was bad, certainly. But he wasn't the only big name guy to play a part in losing this game. Reshad Jones should take some serious blame on the two long TDs carries. Both plays were run to his side and he failed. On McCoy's he comes down as the 8th man in the box and gets blocked/stood up by Robert Woods as the back gets to the edge and turns upfield. On the second one he's barreling towards to RG/C as the play is clearly a run off left tackle. Am I missing something on that one? Is he not supposed to diagnose the play in this 3rd & long situation?
