...will they be able to get anyone decent if the current GM/organisational structure is part of the deal? Should Ross let a new coach build his team from the ground up, starting with the FO?
Hue Jackson was represented by Tannenbaum at one point. He's currently the (8-0) Bengals OC and was a 8-8 HC for the raiders with Jason Campbell/Gradkowski at qb. Hue will be our new hc.
I'm still hoping Campbell turns this around. Playing in New England and Buffalo back to back wouldn't be easy for any coach.
Hickey's deal is up I believe...he'll leave, Tannenbaum will hire a new GM, who knows if he gives him final say, but those two will work together to choose the new coach....or at least that's how I hope it plays out.
I'll be blunt, the next damn coach we hire, should make the offensive line their absolute #1 priority period, end of discussion, these hairless apes we have had parading through the HC slot do not seem to get that And..gosh..clock management matters..i am so ****ing tired of this amateur hour bull****, hundreds of thousands of dollars, you can not piece together..you have a time out and 20 seconds on their goal line..nope keep that TO in your back pocket..
I think you know the answer to your own questions. Yes, for the sake of conversation this is something to talk about. But imho this nightmare will not end until ross is no longer the owner of our team.
I don't see Tannenbaum going anywhere. I fully expect him to make the next hire. I hope he chooses better than Rex. Hue Jackson may not be a bad choice. He was forced out because of a dispute with the FO if I remember right.
Yeah man we might need that time out for 2nd half when we are getting blown out. Oh wait timeouts don't carry into next half. Shat. Idk what they were thinking. Call timeout and you have 3 more opportunities.
And is he bringing Green, Jones, Sanu, Eifert, Bernard and Hill with him? Basically the most talented set of offensive weapons in one team in the entire league.
how anyone can have any faith in the dolphins doing the right thing, i will never know. the only think consistent under ross's ownership is to expect things to eventually go wrong
Mike Francesa, who is close with Tannenbaum and Parcells, said yesterday he thinks Sean Payton will be the head coach of the Dolphins next year.
So, to the original question - do we think that the current Tannenbaum/Hickey scenario might be a hindrance to getting a HC?
I'd have to think that Adam Gase will get some head coaching consideration if he can turn around Cutler at this point in his career. Considering what we have in Tannehill it makes sense to get a headcoach like Gase, Hue Jackson or maybe Sean Payton - guys that have a track record of developing young Qbs or turning them around.
